There has been so much down beat atitudes tonight that I feel that the season is already over. Well it may be a surprise to you all but theres still all to play for. For gods sake stop crying into your beer, get over your self pity and look forward to an exciting end to the season. Yes 1-1 was'nt the ideal end to the game. But Dons last minute goal and Darlo losing to Hereford does keep our season alive.

 Its not just the result, its was a dire second half performance for a team aspiring for a play-off place.
Many a good tune

i havent been to the game due to family committments but lets get real,we have a chance of getting in the playoffs, but it is such a slim chance it is not worth bothering about,we choked again when 3 points was the only return that kept us in with a punchers chance.Wycombe will have their tails up,travelling to a demoralised grimsby, and i would wager they will come away with all 3 points as grimsby couldnt even beat a totally demoralised rotherham, richardson has failed this season ,he can put all the spin he likes on the fact that 71 points got us in the playoffs and we have scored x amount of goals but he will never pull the wool over my eyes, this league is absolutely cr ap,the worst standard of pro football ever to grace this division and that is not a knee jerk comment it is a fact,it is littered with teams who cannot get 2000 supporters because they realise how bad they are,the likes of chester who had players like hughes in their team who is a shocking player, morecambe who looked every inch a decent pub side at best, dagenham and acrington B****Y stanley joke teams who will never do a thing and i have not even got onto the utter garbage of wrexham a team full of youth players and rejects as well as mansfield who were that poor it aint worth talking about.
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Well here's the facts

IF...

We win all 3 remaining games we finish with 76 points.

Because of goal difference we would finish above:

  • Rochdale only if they get no more than 4 points from their last 4 fixtures.
  • Wycombe if they take 7 points or less from their last 4 fixtures.
  • Darlington if they take only 2 points from their last 3 fixtures AND we overcome a 5 GD deficit (given we play Darlington the latter is likely Iindeed cerrtain if we beat them by more than 1 goal and the other results pan out.

Not all over but any points dropped by CFC in the final 3 games will make it all academic I think. If you add 2 points on to each of the 3 teams targets above it demonstrates how serious dropping 3 points was today - and how much it meant that none of the other 3 teams won.

Knife edge stuff and you have to say it is unlikely that we will make it particularly given that Wycombe have just taken points off Stockport, MK Dons and Peterborough in successive games so can hardly be said to be off form.

As odd as it sounds I'd suggest that Darlington are now the most likely target - on account of them having 1 game fewer than the other 2 and because they have to play us which reduces their active fixtures by an extra game if we win. With Darlington having Peterboro away on the last day our hopes probably depend on Dagenham and Redbridge

ohhh errrrr!

Rico's tactical genius strikes again.

Have to say I'm devestated to miss his shortcomings once more. Honest.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

As much as i think Richardson is an incompetent fool, 7 points may still be enough, if wycombe win1 draw 2 and lose 1!! All big ifs, but what else can we hope for! Also take into consideration, Darlington have to play us, Dag n Redbridge, and peterborough!! So there are still a few more twists to the story to come just yet!
