He couldn't raise a gallop for the second half on Tuesday.

I looked at in terms of how he and Nivo faired against their direct oppos, and they were better.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

If 2 men are running and being marked by one then normally the 2 will win

Me neither!

100K not enough if we had nobody lined up as a replacement!

Town done good in my book!

Something is going on, as last season Brighton Official site put up a notice saying all transfer dealings now closed or something to that effect.

Still nothing on the official site.

may not be Leven, could be someone else. currie from luton, possibly?

Have we lost the plot?

Can someone highlight the difference between selling Mark Allott for £20K with a year left on his deal and turning down a £100K for a player with 6 months left on his current deal.

One player wanted to move to Oldham and one player is refusing to review his situation until the summer!

When we sold Allot we had already been relegated. Allot had strongly indicated he wanted to move to Oldham. We are now trying to win promotion which is a completely different situation. So what price for a ball playing midfielder who is also our captain?

If we had sold him, and then not get promotion then that will definately be sited as a reason why we failed (not replacing Leven or selling him in the first place)

The answer is simple. Keep him and he plays an integral part of a promotion winning side. I'd sooner have promotion rather than £100k and keeping Leven increases our chances imho.

In a word, yes.
Brighton seem to think so as well, or do you think they haven't watched him yet?

Albion miss out on trio of targets
By Andy Naylor
Comment
Albion are reeling from a hat-trick of knockbacks on the final day of the January transfer window.

They failed to pull off deals for THREE main transfer targets to compensate for the departures of captain Dean Hammond to Colchester for £250,000 and striker Nathan Elder to Brentford for £35,000.

Chesterfield turned down a £100,000 bid for their Scottish skipper and midfielder Peter Leven. The League Two club stood firm again after rejecting a £50,000 offer from the Seagulls earlier in the week.

They may have other players around him that can cover him. We have only got Niven. The higher the level the faster the game, it would pass him by. He hasn't really taken any games here by the scruff of the neck and controlled them despite his ability etc

On the ball he's good, when the opposition have it he's a liability and it all doesn't look like speed and fitness

Yes. If we'd allowed Leven to follow Davies, et al we would have been in danger of not being able to field a team in coming weeks let alone a promotion winning team. I can't pretend I'm not disappointed after the closure of the transfer window.

Hope we made the right move turning down 100K for a player who only has 17 games left for us this season that means his value is £5,882 plus his wages a game
