A bit yes. Although it's all self inflicted I remember their fans applauding after we'd stopped up in 2004.

At the time of the Darren Brown thing, Luton were in the division above us. Despite the fact that they finished in a relegation place and might have profited had we been denied promotion I cannot remember one single expression of malice or bitterness from any of their supporters towards us. In fact, like every club above us in the pyramid they did not give a ****** about the fact of our cheating a Conference side out of a transfer fee, or about our fiddling the gate against Exeter. Furthermore, I cannot recall their signing any of our players on the cheap when we were in administration.

In fact, I remember more their expressions of goodwill on the day that Glynn Hurst scored the late goal that beat Luton to keep us up.

Is it possible that you're confusing them with someone else?

And should we pick up their players on the cheap? Yes, if they're any good and want to come.

You've got to feel sorry for the fans. We all want to beat any team on the pitch but for a club to go bust and end a history of football for a town is not good. Luton today - who tomorrow? I wouldn't rejoice for as the old saying goes 'by the grace of God go I'. The boot could easily be on the other foot for 95% of the football clubs in this country.

Yes....a good friend of mine is a Luton fan, and I feel sorry for all their supporters.

The supporters don't ask for this to happen to them, they pay their money week in, week out, they don't deserve to see their team be taken to the cleaners. No supporters or team deserve it.

I think their fans made amends towards our club, when they applauded us at Saltergate. At least their fans can see now what we had to suffer because of our crook of a chairman.( I hope they get sorted out).

Also, when evatt went off for a stint with jamies magic sponge, one of thier players also left the field. Best sporting gesture I have ever seen.
A new hope.
