So based on those figures....
Madden averaged a goal every 194.4 minutes
Mcgoldrick averaged a goal every 150.3 minutes

Can chuck in assists as well...Mcgoldrick had 4 to Maddens 2

Don't forget Madden scored 100% of penalties we were awarded
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

When I was a lad I was walking down Whitt Moor somewhere with some mates and a bloke pulled up in a car and asked for directions to St Aveley.

My brother once pulled up in Oxfordshire asking someone for directions to Chesterfield because he saw the sign for Middleton Stoney and thought he must be close to Stoney Middleton. But then, around that time, he also asked me if he needed a passport to visit Scotland. I told him he did, and that he should be prepared to wait hours on the border.
These go to eleven.

He played 35 league games and scored 17 goals. Madden played 27 and got 5.

Their seasons last year are not really comparable.

It's very clear that we're not signing him JUST so our rivals don't. He's a fantastic footballer and if we get 30-35 league games out of him next season, I reckon our promotion chances improve significantly.

How many games/ goals did Madden get in the season before he signed, just cos a player does well at his former club, doesn't mean he'll do well here, we've plenty of examples of that down the years, plus hes another older, ...
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

There is always an element of risk signing a player, whatever their past achievements (or under achievement) at previous club(s)

Just had a text from a, hard of hearing, former work mate who supports Rotherham United, asking who this Baldrick fella town are linked with. I explained we that we were also giving trials to Lord Flasheart, and Captains Darling and Blackadder. I really hope he's extracting the Michael or I may have to impress on his better half, that he stops buying dodgy hearing aid batteries from car boot sales.

I can't see the fellow signing for us. If it's us, Mansfield or Bradford, then surely he'll go to the higher-placed side. Oh, and Mansfailed will offer him more than us. The Kirks are amazingly supportive, but the Mansfield crew spends like it's going out of style.

Fuming. Obviously doesn’t understand the importance of providing an update for Bob’s Board.

Assuming this'll be his last 'big' contract you can't blame him for taking his time and waiting to see what else comes up.

I for one will be overjoyed if it happens. The X meltdown will be incredible. He is better than Madden. Fact.

Has he been at the club or trained with the rest of the lads 🤔. I don't think we'll sign him, but instead he'll go to somewhere in league one like Lincoln City or Rotherham United.

I wonder if were sending anyone to this behind-closed-doors game at Worksop tonight put on by the PFA of out of contract players looking to get fixed up?

Edit: One or two on here gone for big money in the past!
