Nobody surely gives a hoot about friendlies at all, results or anything.
Have a few beers in Spain next week, enjoy it and then start thinking about Barrow at home. What happens besides that is inconsequential
Embarrassing ain’t it. Can’t wait for 2 weeks in Portugal then get back just in time for the proper stuff against barrow and then oasis 👍🏽

Lewis has got a lovely left foot and good addition
Stirk looked a solid aquisition and did well
I like the look of Butterfield, did well, passed it around, nice 1-2s and ugly stuff. certainly worth another look as he;s a lot better than Hobson IMO
Trialist Striker i wouldn't bother with.
Fadz and Dunkley will be 1st choice CH this season baring injury or any improvement through signing, though thats kind of obvious.
fleck looked much fitter - i dont think he had a preseason last season. but looked a lot trimmer.
Dibley looks a good midfielder, again passed the ball around well.
Daley Campbell looked rapid but rusty. did well for the goal.
Exactly how saw today’s game & observations of players..must add though, Dobra & Dilan will be a handful this season

Dunkley a mountain of a man and more vocal than his partner fadz, and that’s saying something
Elliott didn’t play

Stirk definitely moved the ball quicker, him butterfield and Dias all passed well ‘through the lines’ on numerous occasions

Worst bit of the day was our away kit. My small grand-daughter loves pink, but I hadn't realised they'd signed her on to design shirts.

Seemed from commentary that there was, same old record, a lack of penetration.
Did Dunkley get any Booooooming headers in?
I think Jessop got the most praise first half, in commentary. Good signs.
Evening to you too.
Game of two halves to be honest. First half we looked more solid defensively but were bang average in attack. That was clearly due to the number of trialists and less experienced players in midfield and up front. Second half saw Grigg, Dobs etc. up front with the odd chance being created, but 2 poor bits of defending undid us overall.
Dunkley looks to be fully fit and will be like a new signing. A few on here are saying him and Fadz will be our first choice centre back pairing, but personally I think they will alternate at right centre half and I am still hoping we sign a young mobile left centre half as whilst vastly experienced neither has any pace.
Still think it will be an interesting 3 or 4 weeks with incoming and outgoings...

First game and only 45 minutes and warm and v a combative, energetic Matlock side.
Least said about Fleck the better

looking at the 2 line ups, seems first half was our 1st choice defence and 2nd half our 1st choice attack,
