Yeah for all 3

The centre mid defiantly worth another look, Striker was crap but we’re in a situation where we’ve got 2 good centre forwards so it’s finding someone who’s happy to be 3rd choice

The centre mid was defiant, good for him

Will you all please leave Gordon alone. Don't you realise that we'd be absolutely DOOMED if he ever posted anything except negative nonsense? He nearly got us promoted last season, so if he could make that extra effort to be even more pathetically feeble-minded and extra extra negative, we'd be absolute certainties to walk the league. I repeat - PLEASE PLEASE don't try to stop Gordon moaning - it just wouldn't seem right, and would definitely throw us off course.

Lovely day out as always....apart from the game!

Stirk looked OK. None of the trialists impressed and we definitely need some pace at the back!

Griggs goal and a mazy run by Dobs were the only real highlights for us.

Early days though, better test will be when we keep what may be our first 11 on the pitch against Forest etc.

Didn't see Mandy, Coco or Madden....

evening
Seemed from commentary that there was, same old record, a lack of penetration.

Did Dunkley get any Booooooming headers in?

I think Jessop got the most praise first half, in commentary. Good signs.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Rotten defence like last season. Looks like we will have to win by outscoring the opposition as there is no clean sheets at all in this lot

Surely we have to outscore the opposition even if we kept a clean sheet?

Posted Image sorry but I enjoy my Gordon is a Moron (Jilted John /Graham Fellows) baiting too much.

Gunner Elliott unfortunately is a long way off being ready, probably not even matlocks level. Never looked like he was confident in himself or actually wanted the ball. Adam Lewis at left back will be better to judge him when he has a run with someone like Duffy in front of him (who looked tidy the first half)

Dunkley a mountain of a man and more vocal than his partner fadz, and that’s saying something

Ran about a lot, quite fast, didn’t really see too much of him to say if there’s a player there.

highlights for me

Lewis has got a lovely left foot and good addition
Stirk looked a solid aquisition and did well
I like the look of Butterfield, did well, passed it around, nice 1-2s and ugly stuff. certainly worth another look as he;s a lot better than Hobson IMO
Trialist Striker i wouldn't bother with.
Fadz and Dunkley will be 1st choice CH this season baring injury or any improvement through signing, though thats kind of obvious.
fleck looked much fitter - i dont think he had a preseason last season. but looked a lot trimmer.
Dibley looks a good midfielder, again passed the ball around well.
Daley Campbell looked rapid but rusty. did well for the goal.

I think I need a break from here until the real stuff starts.
Nobody surely gives a hoot about friendlies at all, results or anything.

Have a few beers in Spain next week, enjoy it and then start thinking about Barrow at home. What happens besides that is inconsequential

That’s my thought regarding another striker.

We have Grigg, Bonis, possibly Madden who I prefer in a deeper role, so if we could bring in a young’un to develop it could be the right approach.
