His versatility and his energy are unmatched in the squad. Great servant to the club though and will go down as a cult hero when he does depart.

I think those comments underestimate Mandy's importance to us. Even when played out of position e.g. at RB, he still gets forward and influences our attacks from midfield and wide right. OK, he's never had the pace to sprint past opponents, but his ball control and passing is so clever he can still take opponents out of the game. I haven't checked, but in his time with us his goal and assist figures must be excellent for a player who has to fill in different positions. I think he is one of our most valuable players, and I really hope he stays.

Both Grigg and Mandy are essential to us this season. The former for the goals and the latter for being able to play in every position on the pitch. It wouldn't surprise me to see Mandy run up with the bucket and spong when one of our players takes a wack. He has the potential to be one of the most important players for us this season.

Hopefully he's had an op to sort it all out like Tanton! Nice to see we seem to have formed a good relationship with a solid Prem club either way.
