I think it will go the way of the ‘steps’ and ‘6 second’ rules. A bit of early hoo-har then totally forgotten about in 6 months and players just do what they did before

The eight seconds will start when the referee deems the GK to be in total control of the ball

Listening to Keith Hacket, he said the reason refs didn't apply the 6 second rule is that they thought the punishment was far too severe. It was them that put forward the less severe alternative so hopefully they will apply it this time.

If we allow ourselves the leeway of naming Mandy as a CM, we can now name a first choice 11 where only the CH positions have no players under 30.

I'd never leave Naylor out by the way, but it shows the thinking.
