Presumably he played LB under Cook at Portsmouth. Thought he was LB at Rammell Lane?

More of a wing back at Blunts but transfer market has him listed as a centre back so I give up trying to guess.

Good mates with Fleck and McFadzean. Not sure we need another left back mind.

Also only lives at Mosborough. I’m with you regards the LB as that would take us to 3. Unless PC sees him as a LCB.

Don’t think he’s 35.

We had legs up top when Grigg was out injured, yet that didn’t work very well. Any thoughts on who you’d reasonably replace him for?

I do think we need a fast striker by the way, I just don’t think we’ll get better than him for our system, within a reasonable budget.

He played 39 championship games in last 2 seasons.

Cook must feel he can be the LB / CB option Araujo was, 6ft so may be possible

1 / 39 games were at CB with the other 38 all being LB.

Very weird signing for me this one if we make it.

Was there anything fairly concrete that it was ever resurrected after it fell through in January?

He's 33, 34 in a couple of weeks not 35 and you're the only one who seems to think his legs have gone.

With enough physicals, a LB in a Chamoionship should be a great CB in a L2 team.

And that may very well be the case and I’m not arguing with Enda’s credentials by any means but I just think ANOTHER aging centre-back that struggled with injuries in 2024-25 is far from what we need.

Did he struggle with injuries? Or just not selected that much? I have no idea how accurate this website is but it says he missed 4 games (26 days) with injuries last season. https://www.transfer...n/spieler/85706

I didn’t say his legs were gone I said we need legs , ie someone a whole lot quicker, pepple v Walsall ran all the channels got in behind ran with the ball and was direct, he isn’t the greatest but his style was a step in the direction that we need, Doyle in his second season was the best lone forward we have ever had , he wasn’t as skilful as sir jack but he had everything you want in that position, he could run, he chased everything he created goals himself from being so good, we need a Doyle as a first choice and a Grigg off the bench this year

Can’t say fairer than that. Grigg is a good player and still has a part to play but if we sign a Mobile striker of similar calibre to our signings so far we’re laughing

Whether or not we are interested in signing Enda Stevens remains to be seen but if we are we have to trust the management.

He has played for Cook before and lives locally. So if a deal is agreed we should not necessarily criticise the signing itself unless we know the actual terms of the deal. The guy might be prepared come for a pittance to stretch out his career and be close to home.

They were just the words of a lad I know who supports Stoke, I hadn’t looked myself. He expected him to retire or go to Ireland.

You know I’m not.

Just trying to apply a little sense to such matters when most posters know very little about what is actually involved when they go over the top with their opinions.

I know. I feel like your sensible words will fall on deaf ears though.
