Who is ready for a couple (or three) more announcements today

I'd go for a keeper, a Canadian CB and a little unknown surprise

Three NEW players? Or a new keeper and a few new contracts?

If it's 3 new players, I suspect our business is about done.

Just listened to the interview myself,he sounds like a scouser hmmmm.

That'll happen when you're born in Liverpool, raised in Liverpool and play for Liverpool for 19 years.

Keeper and contracts I’d imagine.
If there was enough risk not to sign the Canadian lad in January when we were desperate for bodies in, I don’t see why we’d go ahead with it now

You’re correct, I didn’t get that part right, turns out things were different than I expected

Markanday clearly a panic buy after failing to get Sparky though

That’s the worst use of bait since that twee film about the singing Cornish fishermen

The risk at the time was an inability due to time constraints to restructure the deal with the medical information in mind.

From memory we still wanted to do a deal for him in January but wanted to restructure the deal based on the medical and we ran out of time as much as anything to get the deal done especially with it being a international deal.

I don't understand why some people get really down, when the club doesn't rush headlong into the transfer market, at the first opportunity. I didn't expect us to bring in three this fast tbh. I'm well chuffed with the Markanday deal.

Because some of our fans are needy idiots who think we need to sign players 1 minute into any transfer window or we’re somehow missing out! This forum and other social media regularly highlights how dumb some of our fans are, I mean there are some that think Will Grigg is rubbish!

Our business so far is excellent in my opinion and if what is rumoured to be coming is true then we should have a good chance of challenging for the title. Just hope we have a better season with injuries!

I’d be very surprised if we signed a 37-year-old, especially when our strategy is clearly focused on building a team around younger, hungry players who are considered assets, supported by the more experienced members of the squad.

He’s been mentioned & spoken about internally, with a few players he knows at the club tasked with “reaching out” to see where he’s at football wise.

There's no doubt he's a talented footballer but one who perhaps has a season left at Football League level. The assumption being he's declined a Notts County contract due it either being not long enough or fat enough, I don't expect to see us in the market unless it was a cheap deal to do. Even then he's a sub most weeks.
