Palmer was decent towards the end of last season but we can do a lot better. Good move for him.

Yes,good luck Ash, didn't let us or yourself down last season and silenced a lot of detractors.IMO the NL Championship squad will be long remembered and some if not all,as others have said, will be legend status.

True but imo too many errors in the locker to believe he's completely turned the corner. Definitely better and younger out there to be found

We can always do better - but we are L2 and I would have backed Palmer for this level and us this season.
If he wanted a longer contract, York obvs have offered him it and I have no problem in him taking that.
I think with them snaring Banks and now Palmer, I'd say they were two statement signings for NL - Id be thinking they'll go up next season and prob in top spot

It's between them and Carlisle, depending on their recruitment.

I think it's obvious both wanted longer deals than we were prepared to offer, dropping down to York was a no brainer for them.
