Turner sounded half cut on more than one radio interview I had the misfortune to hear while he was at CFC.

As for Biggs, I always got the impression he positioned himself as a Chesterfield fan simply to avoid accusations of bias from either set of Sheffield fans, rather than because he had any genuine affection for us as a club. He was an apologist for those who set this club back years and should be remembered as so.

As for Biggs - I have no words. He was a lap dog doing Allen’s and wrong kits bidding. Even now he’s not criticised them or the board at that time. While still sucking up to Turner.



Compare that to the times reporting over the “questionable organisation, its former non league goal keeper” and the general finances at CFC. Who was the DT guy who covered all that? I’ve forgot his name, but he did some proper investigative sports journalism.
