Drama queen, how the chuff would you know who our targets are and if we've lost out on any of them, nevermind to a southern based league 2 club? Utter nonsense.

How does anyone on this board know what's happening? Why do you believe some but not others?

I’m no keeper expert, but it’s league 2 , show me a keeper who in a ball playing team can play the ball better, you will not be able too, I’d say his biggest deficiency is I can’t ever see him save a penalty, if he has I can’t remember, we had Thompson in the nets who ran round the ball to get it on his best foot, perhaps cook is limited in his keeper knowledge because he was 5hit

Boot was dropped after his performance at Bromley. Take a look at highlights.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

The fanbases knowledge on goalkeepers is so poor. I got pelters for saying Fitzsimons wasn’t good enough and it was only when he cost us promotion and left that others cottoned on.

Boot is a decent number 2, but that’s it. Reliable and rarely costs us points, but good goalkeepers win you points and that’s what we need.

Out of interest.. if it was for the first team why would it be a good thing? I know you float about football so I’m intrigued to know.

In Boot’s defence - that was an extremely harsh dropping. Both keepers were honking that game and couldn’t stay on their feet due to the surface. Grant Smith, who many consider the best in the division gifted us our goals as much as we did theirs. Ironically the latter would probably still be our number one had it not been for that weirdo ex gaffer of ours.

Think Wiredu was mentioned as a target earlier on

As per @reluctantnicko, Rotherham have made a £300,000 bid for Brendan Wiredu

I think Ohare and Patridge are on borrowed time in the backroom staff. First is respected but no playing career anywhere above Sunday league level. The second has headed up a physio team of the most injured team in the league. Expect to the see changes.

ATAW

I do expect around 4 announcements next week on the playing staff.

I've just looked back at the highlights to remind myself of the specifics.

Bromley's first goal came from a free header from 6 yards out. You can't put the blame solely on Boot, if any at all. Gordon weakly loses an aerial battle. Grimes is marking fresh air. Dunkley is out of position as he has to cover the Grimes has left. Daley-Campbell is just watching. Naylor can't get back to challenge the player Dunkley or VDC should have had.

I admit that he should have done better from the back pass he received (1:01 on highlights) from Grimes. Instead of using his preferred foot he should have swept it to Dunkley with his left foot. I can't recall him having many other incidents like this if that's what you were talking about.

Bromley's second still isn't solely on Boot. Someone gives away a free kick allowing Bromley a free opportunity to get the ball in the box. Dunkley can't get anything on the ball in. This allows the Bromley player to direct the ball towards goal. The ball gets past Boot who is diving to stop the ball. It then ricochets off the post along the goalie allowing the Cheek, who Daley Campbell should have been closer to, to score one of the easiest goals of his career. It was down to a bit of unluckiness, A moment Dunkley could have done better from and a moment Daley-Campbell had to do better.

I remember the frustration aimed at Boot after the game, and I still feel he was used by the fans as a bit of a scapegoat.

He had a nightmare with his feet 2 or 3 times iirc. Lots of heart in mouth moments in that game
Here we go again!

Exactly this. If you trust the people at the top of the club why would you be arsed about the money when it’s not coming out your own pocket

Agree.
To question spending is to criticise the owners.

This is also a fanbase whereby some still want Quigley back. I’d take it with a pinch of salt, and you’re post is absolutely spot on

Their also seems to be a weird hate on Thompson like he’d cost us loads of points, when he hadn’t, which again reiterates your point above
