I’m quite intrigued. Love South American football but more so for the fan culture and style of football rather than quality of it.
Some of the South American teams should be good to watch, anyone who’s watched the Copa Libertadores will know they are usually pretty fiery. Someone mentioned goals as a bet, wouldn’t be swerving cards when these teams are playing either.
There’s some dross in the group stages from across the Middle East, Asia etc but the knockouts should be relatively good to watch. Most games are on C5 btw or all are free on the DAZN platform for anyone wanting some summer footy.
Just need lindave to come along now and tell us he’s only interested in town

Regarding South American teams I can remember when Flemengo beat Liverpool in the similar tournament decades ago.
What a team Flamengo had then. (1981)

I think they’d be on a par with a good national league side

Now that really pisses me off, Klopp and Pep have ruined the FA cup.

The one who really winds me up is Wenger. When Arsenal manager is was all about less games, quality over quantity, yet now he’s taking the FIFA dollars he’s promoting bigger World Cups, more games more meaningless team competitions.

With £120m for the winner, more than the CL, I highly doubt it given various clubs PSR positions

Staggered bonuses depending on where you finish also. I expect the European teams to take it serious based on that. Especially now UEFA have similar PSR rules in place for champions league teams.
