Shows up on Wikipedia as having been bought by Chesterfield?

But anyone can edit Wikipedia.

I could say Trump is the ultimate leader there, but it doesn't make it true (and it isn't)

From the Northern Echo last month, Hemming was looking to leave Boro.

Threw himself into a loan move, taking his family and her getting a job. I don't think that's very common.

I wonder what a psychologist would make of your 20 or so posts in this thread?

It’s doing the rounds at the moment, and to be fair, this is probably the only transfer rumour that seems to have any real substance, especially given we’re actively in the market for a top-quality keeper. Everything else so far has felt like pure speculation and wishful thinking.

Well, if it's true I think it's a serious sign of intent. At this level there's a serious supply surplus which means teams can get a competent goalie for peanuts.
He must be good enough to make an order of magnitude difference if we are paying good money for him. How long since that's happened?

I believe this has real substance; it's on the St Mirren website, reported as a done deal in the Scottish Sun and as has been pointed out, Wikipedia now shows him as a Chesterfield player. Nothing (as yet) on the 'Boro web-site, so I've phoned an old contact at the Riverside, as a result of which I believe we can expect an official announcement as soon as the contract is signed; I was told "As things stand Zach Hemmings' remains a Middlesborough player, but the club have accepted an offer from Chesterfield for the player"

Wiki was changed by a numpty on here but the rest sounds pretty locked.

Trying to work out which keeper arrives here, the one that struggled at Orient or the one that St Mirren sound fuming to lose out on.

That's more a less what he said to me in the gym as he put all the injured players since Christmas thru there rehab and he was just awaiting confirmation from the club what his options were

Sorry, only just seen this.

I wonder if we could conclude from this that a weakness in our rehab procedures was the root cause of some of our injuries, in particular repeat hamstrings?

If so, worth his weight in gold.

This lad sounds like just what we need but there is no chance we are paying £150k for a keeper in league 2.

I'm not quite sure about him yet. Both my sons have an interest in statistics and haven't sold me on him yet. They told he had prevented goals record of -0.2 per game at Leyton Orient last season and at St Mirren it was -0.4 per game. Apparently, this means he is a poor shot stopper, who concedes more goals than he should, putting him in the bottom 20% of goalkeepers in both League 1 and the Scottish Premiership. He also only saves 56% of shots faced, while Boot averages 68%.

I think we should have Boot as number 1, as he has proven himself as a good quality keeper at this level. Then focus on a number 2, saving any transfer fees for players needed in weaker areas.
