A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption.
One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Amal."
The other goes to a family in Spain; and is named "Juan."
Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tearfully tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Amal.
Her husband responds, "But they are twins! If you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal."

Immediate thought is 'surely not'
Take a step back and think this.
Morsy is 33.
If he's made his money as such, we could get him locked into a 2 year contract with a year option. We build a team with him at the heart of it.
If we nail double promotion, thats Morsy in a Town shirt in the Championship (option triggered). His potential 'final hurrah' would be a chance to take Town to the Prem League.
The icing on the cake is teaming back up with Cook.
The cherry on top of the cake would be edging towards Spireite legend status.
We all know we've been screaming out for a Morsy clone, maybe we could land the man himself.
God only knows what the wage bill would be if we scoop up Markanday, Morsy, Sparks on top of Dobs, Grigg and Naylor!
Think my ST might just cover it 😁

Bangs head against wall, why go to the bother of typing the extra 'e' in his name! It's Morsy!

Lol, fair enough - but we landed Naylor after he was playing in the higher leagues.
My mate suggested Sam Morsy coming back and I said no chance, but Cook will be wanting to build a L1 team for L2.
Ipswich are open to letting him go for nowt even with a year left on his contract. I've gone from no chance to we could be in the mix to sign him

Interesting looking at your last cpl of lines. I read an article online the other day, might have been the Bradford gazette or something like that, were the Bradford owner was saying how different the financial clout needed to be competitive in L1 next season, after their promotion, was from when they were relegated in 2019. He said that season they had what he thought was a budget capable of challenging for the top 6, ie play offs, and they were relegated, he said just 6 years later L1 is on another financial level to what it was then!
Food for thought.

It’s not gona happen mate, he’s probably on best part of 20k a week and still got a year left on it. I’d guess best we can offer is about 4k a week, which means he’d be surrendering 750k, it’s nice to dream but nobody in their right mind would do it, unless Ipswich paid him up, which again I can’t see happening.

Yeah he's more likely to opt to make an extra £750k + in the middle east. Can't blame him if he does, it will be his final move in all probability

I don't get their logic.
A proven Championship promotion winner and leader, paid peanuts compared to their parachute payment. Even if their destiny lies in consolidation then they need him. They are disposing of a foundation stone.
Stupid.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Presumably any departure would require a suitable financial settlement for both parties. Otherwise he'll happily pick up however many 10s of thousands a week he'll be on for another year. If that happened he'll undoubtedly have offers further up the leagues and with far money than we could offer. If, and it's a big if, he's not bothered about the money his relationship with Cook and his desire to return (he's said it) could come into play.

They aren't going to loan him out at this stage of his career. Not sure what your second sentence refers to mate.

If we paid 4k a week on his wages they might take it instead of paying him up. The article says interest from the middle east so that would scupper anyone in the efl in wages anyway

Yorkshire Post article states interest from the middle east (Saudi?) Decent wedge to finish his career on.

He'd have to take in what his wife and kids would want to do too. It's not all about da wonga - they might not fancy living in the Middle East
