Not quite as worrying, but Wayne Bradley steps down as Alfreton chairman after 27 years. New American investors coming in.

There was talk of them going fulltime a while ago. On Crowds of 400-500 sounds crazy to me.

They did at one time, at least a hybrid version of it.

Like Leek Town, Alfreton seemed to struggle with attendances when in the Conference. I cannot see how going full time would work.

Thing is for clubs like Alfreton, they rely on a hardcore support of about 300-400 fans. The average football fan in Alfreton supports either Derby or Forest or us or Mansfield. Even in the conference they struggled to attract a 1000 home fans.

The average football fan in Leek supports either Stoke or Man Utd, with a smaller number following Vale and other random teams such as Tottenham (and me Chesterfield of course). Leek Town were simply not big enough for the Conference, it was always going to be a struggle.

Weren’t Alfreton’s tickets really expensive in the Conference?
These go to eleven.

It's difficult to get tickets for Forest now that they are in PL. Maybe this pushes Forest wannabes in Notts to watch County and Mansfield. If it's not easy to get STs at City and United that could boost attendances at Oldham, Rochdale etc ??

Both Fitzsimons & Danny Whitehall are due in at Matlock. Whitehall got 17 in 32 in the NLN last season 😂

The only thing that could derail Matlock on the pitch would be the inexperienced manager.

They've just signed goalie Miles Boney from South Shields now.

Sounds promising with 30 appearances for a team two divisions above and looking at all his tattoos he must be good, looks like a non-league Ederson

He is Boney M now he’s at Matlock.

This is like a non-league Monsanto-era Notts County scenario.
These go to eleven.

The non league rumour mill was wrong on this one. Probably for the best for Matlocks accountant
