Disappointing last night. Excellent power-play then some poor fielding and very mediocre slot bowling at the death left us chasing 25 too many. Donald and Lloyd don't look like threatening the scorers much and we were bang up against it. Despite that, there was a moment we were favourites chasing. Wrong team picked imo, wrong order. I'd open with Jewell and Andersson (who didn't even get a bat) and Guest has to play.

Donald duck has certainly had his time and Lloyd looks a rabbit in headlights so the opening partnership

is doomed if they open tonight

we need a win tonight against notts or else we will be giving ourselves too much to do in the other matches to qualify

Also the crowd against northants was very poor and the atmosphere non exsistent

I was intending to go but parent's evening didn't finish until 6.15 and I was knackered so I went home and watched the stream with a few beers. It's good enough to not feel like you're missing out really.

Going to go tonight with my lad, no need to rush. I'd be dropping a bowler for Guest. We have enough options with the ball, even if they aren't firing (apart from the new lad).

Patel doesn't inspire even though he got a few, his batting at crucial times is to predictable. He was given a to lengthy contract and now we're stuck with it, we've far better not playing.

i wondered where the Droylsden sparkie had been working these last few years lol but he still wasnt enough to save us from another defeat

At least if Patel has strained a fetlock during his very short innings more changes will have to be made for Sunday at Edgebaston

It might rain so we could gain our first points if we dont play

I think Donald has made about 4 scores of 50 in about 20 balls for derbyshire and then he has got out straight after so you just knew what would happen last night and he was unfortnately true to form so our chances of a decent score went with him

As for the bowling the least said the better

He can't bowl any worse that Pat 'hit me' Brown.

Bit of a shame how far brown has regressed to be honest. Was once the new big thing for England and now struggling to hold his place in the side for Derbyshire.

He was playing for England Lions over the winter wasn't he? He has a lovely action (was watching him side on for a bit on Friday) and he can certainly get it down, but I don't think he does enough to make batsman think. They just set themselves and smash him. I know it's not easy at any level (I came on to bowl one over yesterday, over 44 after a miscount by the skipper, and the lad got his 200 off my first ball ha).

Yeh think he did but it just doesn’t seem to have happened for him with us. He was first in the England team years ago due to his variations and things.

I think he has been worked out now and his slow balls etc which were all the rage a few years ago as he was a new kid on the block are obviously not having the same impact now

Unfortunately Brown isnt the only problem we have at the moment after slumping to a heavy defeat this afternoon against the Birmingham Bears making it 4 defeats out of 4

I honestly do not know where we go from here

with the Puddings beating leicestershire we are now rock bottom of the table

I don't care much for T20, but it's still disappointing after the promising 4 day stuff.

We needed momentum and didn't get any. The team seemed a little undercooked.

No Chappell or Samit now either.

do you mean him that was ditched by england must be nearly 20 years ago because of alleged fitness and attitude problems?

I also see Essex in the South group have now played 5 and lost 5

perhaps we could arrange a match against them to try and break our duck in losing matches

but then again lol

Essex looked very poor last night and have Div 1 players.

I guess it just shows that a plan and momentum are key, in T20.

Maybe, but he bowled superbly last night.
