Must stem from when Norts gifted the team a Sekonda for reaching the ‘97 semi final!

Has anyone done well at either Celtic or Rangers, and gone on to do well in the English top flight?

Brendan Rodgers, for a bit at Leicester. O'Neill did pretty well at Villa.
But yes, many have not done so well.
These go to eleven.

Sounds like Ange has been binned at Spurs.

Surprised, yet not surprised

Winning a trophy is great and getting champions league money

Finishing so low in the league and losing 22 games. Not so great.

I guess the lure of champions league will allow levy to get a top level manager
A new hope.

It just goes to show what a joke club Spurs are under Levy.
The whole idea of any sport is to win trophies by being successful and when the manager guides them to European success, winning a trophy and qualification into next season's Champions league but still gets sacked is ridiculous. Spurs are first and foremost a business then somewhere down the description page in the small writing they're a football club.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

And had Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton not been as weak as water they'd have been in deep relegation trouble.

Ifs, buts and maybes. Facts are facts, their name is on the Europa league trophy and it's in the pot for the champions league draw.
Who were more successful? Tottenham or Man City?

The bloke had an injury crisis to rival cooks this season, had to blood many of the youngsters in the squad, rarely had a full 1st team all season, but had started putting things in place by bringing the younger players thru, clubs are too quick to sack these days, even cookie says that, he should have been given time to build on the cup win, and build his own squad..

Agree with that, but I don't think he would ever have been capable of getting Spurs to compete at the top of the PL. Maintaining a high standard throughout a PL season is far harder than succeeding in a knock-out competition. I found it difficult from the start, to understand why the Spurs hierarchy thought Ange's success with Celtic in a totally uncompetitive Scottish league would translate into success in the PL which is on a completely different level. Let's be honest, Celtic could appoint the groundsman or the tea-lady as manager and they'd still walk the Scottish Premier League.

Moyes is an experienced manager with a credible record at a high level , Postecoglou is a lower league manager who got lucky getting the Spurs job
