Not on the same level as Bobby Moore obviously but this sort of thing i always used to think of the differences between Allott and Niven when they played together. You would see Niven chasing around all over having to fly into tackles whereas Allott barely had to go to ground in tackles as he would more often than not pick the ball up by getting in the way by being in the right place.

Many have posted, rightly so,that we need a Ryan Morsey combination,a Mark Allott or a Mike Jones for 20+ games last season would have probably given us a top three finish.

In my humble opinion, we missed Mike Jones terribly. We had no other player who could do what he could. He was one of those defensive midfielders who knew where the ball would end up in three passes time, and this is why I rate Gordon above Sparkes.
I don't know if Mike Jones will retire this year but we need to mould a new version.

A back 4 of Donacien, Dunkley, Fadz, Gordon is as good as owt at this level. If Donacien doesn't work out then we need a replacement, and if the CH partnership isn't available then Grimes can step in.
We MUST make the Goalie's section the best in this league, and I personally see Boooooot as back up. Whatever, I'd like this to be the first thing that's sorted out.
The crucial thing about CM is that the coaches get Naylor back to top form and find him the ideal partner.
We need 3 high energy players to help Dobra, Colclough, Mandeville, Duffy with creative/penetration duties.

Didn’t Dallas agree to sign on at least one occasion last close season? To the point of the club making plans to actually announce the signings, or have I dreamt that.

Buy your dog a muzzle, as you don't want to upset her, just incase she has the inside knowledge on an incoming, very talented midfielder or even a striker or both 😆.

There was no “bust up with cook in April infront of the West Stand”. The incident happened right in front of me. When the final substitution was made and Madden realised he wasn’t going to be coming on, he removed his bib, threw it into the dugout and walked off down the tunnel. I don’t know that Cook was even aware that it happened as he was busy watching the match, and I don’t think any words were exchanged. Madden then changed into his tracksuit and joined the rest of the squad after the match on the lap of the pitch. (There may have been a subsequent bust up out of the public gaze of course).

I also well remember an equally effective on loan winger by the name of JCR travelling up from London to sign for us permanently from Charlton only for the car to carry on past J29 and turn off around J33 and put pen to paper for Rotherham. And although I’m always interested in any snippets posted on here, and I’m sure many are factual and posted in good faith, I’m like you, in that until I see the official announcement we always run the risk of being gazumped.

Well we had high hopes but it just hasn't worked out with us. It happens sometimes.

Yep, I posted almost exactly that recently to try and add a bit of context. That is exactly what happened, there was nothing to it people just like to be dramatic.

Some people tend to embellish a story if it’s helps back up their opinion or theory, human nature i guess, particularly if they’re the type of person who tries to force their opinion on others.
The same ones generally resort to childish personal insults too, best just ignoring them.

Apparently HK and his family are big Orient fans and have at times in the recent past supported them financially in some way I believe.

I have noticed that it is not the usual suspects recently, more often newer posters. Not sure if this is the standard approach now, hopefully not as we have enough of the 'I am always right, and your opinion is worthless' posters already.IMO (which is probably worthless).
