Talking of injuries, Donacien intrigued me no end. Although rusty, I thought he transformed our defensive line, getting it 10 yards further up the field and being as ruthless at RB as Fads is at CH. I think he's also versatile.

Lad wants to come here definetly but agent as most do, is looking after his own interests. Dallas as far as I am aware was never really bothered about staying at CFC. That’s the main positive I can see.

Way I see it with Dunks, McFadz & a pacey younger alternative at CB is that they will rotate depending on the strengths of the opposition. For instance if we’re playing a side with 2 nippy forwards that want to constantly get in behind you’d start one of the above with the pacier CB. Likewise up against a side with target man, or poacher type striker, Dunks & Fadz would be perfect together.

Also, if that Markanday news is true then that is some way to signal our intent going into the new season and would definitely be putting a marker down to the rest of the division.

That’s not how it works. He’s under contract until June 30th. All Blackburn have done is say he won’t be offered a new contract and released upon the expiration of his contract.

Legally, he shouldn’t be speaking with any club in England until his contract has expired. Even though we all know this happens. Clubs can however allow players to discuss with clubs in order to seek a move.

Boot saved us 4 or 5 times in one on ones in our good run in the last ⅓ of the season. Can't remember if the defence were out paced or or out played though. Accrington scored a break away goal in the 3-0 loss as did Bradford in the 3 all draw iirc.

They can speak to whoever they want in the last month of the contract

I thought domestic based players can legally speak to other clubs /when they have under a month left of their deal. How would clubs be able to announce signings end of May/June otherwise?
