just watched it on delay without knowing the result, wow, well done sunderland, we seem to follow them on ups and downs, awful game, little quality in it, sheff u messed up some opportunities but don't get that they dominated the game, they did fo rthe opening 5 mins but after that a fairly 50/50, sunderland took their chances better in the end. oddly though this result probably keeps wilder in a job beyond christmas as had they gone up, they'd have struggled and he'd most likely been sacked at before xmas.

All great goals though, and all object lessons in the athleticism and drive required to create opportunities from midfield. Summat that Cook has got to build into our play.

It's a reasonable point.

It is indeed. It was obviously the right call but if you are using it in the final then set it up in the semis. It’s like the fa cup , they have it in some games but not in others in the same round , surely it makes the competition lopsided and gives teams advantages over others. Bin it off for me, I’d rather refs made on field mistakes than having to sit and wait for decisions that they still can’t seem to get right, the handball outside of the area last week being an example. How did they get that wrong? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thought the same about the goals. All via direct runs, with one a shot from distance.

Pedant Alert!!

On the VAR decision.....
Burroughs shoots and there's a player offside in front of the goalie. Moore tries to head the ball as it pelts past him, at which point the offside player is not offside anymore.

If Moore had diverted the ball into goal, would VAR still have called offside?

In fact, the more I look at it, the more I think Moore might have got a touch. Could JonB give us one of his famous freeze frame photos please?

Not mine but one I’ve swiped from Twitter from behind the goal.

Posted Image

Now I’ll need to watch it again but I think the guy who gets in front of the keeper isn’t the issue as much the guy to his left on this pic who starts to come across and gets in his way. I don’t think he’s ever onside is he.

Moore didn’t touch the ball though so that makes your point irrelevant

Ta
I think he's onside at the point that the ball is nearest to Moore's head so, unfortunately, that frame is not the key one.

I wrote 'IF' Moore had touched it, would it have been offside?, so it's a bit smart assed and rude to call it irrelevant.

Moore's reaction made me think he might have touched it.

Has anyone done well at either Celtic or Rangers, and gone on to do well in the English top flight?

Just off my holidays. Met an Irish fella (top bloke) who is best mates with Robbie Ryan (ex Millwall) who is big, big, mates with Dychey.

I said Dychey would be in a top job again soon, but via Robbie he reckon Shauns real passion is whealing and dealing in very expensive watches and he wants time out so isn't that fussed about a return to management.....

... personally I can't believe he won't be back at top level soon though!!!
