Yep, spot on that.
Decent first season back to finish in the play offs but disappointed with the two legs. Walsall proper did a job on us and we fell well short.
But next season is a new season, and we will see an almost new squad to have a real go at it.
Enjoy the summer and look forward to next season

Yup, as me and my daughter walked out of the away end at Donny after a 3-0 win in front of 3000 Town, I said to her "that was wank".
And when we were 4-0 up at Crewe after 30 minutes I put my next door neighbour's front window in shouting "this is wank"

I’ve never been a massive fan of them to be honest, way back to the mid 90s when they came up with us. Would love a Wembley defeat with some tears for them.

I think it’s fair that there’s a lot of disappointment in these 2 performances.
We were poor and didn’t deserve anything against an average team in very poor form with no confidence.
We’ve missed a huge opportunity there.
I’d hope that Cook is disappointed too.
Disappointing thing for me is that we can’t say that we gave it everything in these 2 games and came out second best.

Metcalfe would be a cracking signing but I think Everton will want him in the league above. The improvement from him since coming back into the eleven has been remarkable

For all the master tacticians who promoted gung ho from the start, they scored when we went that way which isn’t unsurprising.
After all the injuries etc this season it was probably two games too far but we still maintained our upwards progression. That’s four seasons where we have been champions or involved in playoffs, a record many teams would be proud of, I await next season with a positive outlook.

I'm looking forward to a very different starting 11 next season though. Of 'our' players, Dobra, Grigg, Mandeville (and possibly young Duffy) warrant a place in the side or coming on off the bench. Of our 'others' players, Sparkes and Metcalfe haven't let themselves down. Boot has blown hot and cold and might be ok in the squad at a push.
