It's the main reason I barely watch or go anymore. Modern football is utter trash with the diving, time-wasting, slow boring possession tactics, spineless useless referees. I've seen slug races more physical than modern football. I know it's a cliché but the game genuinely has gone, I barely recognise it anymore.

I can emphasise with you on most of that. Give me back the 90s at Saltergate when you were in for a proper match and taking down the big boys along the way. Today is sadly half as enjoyable.

I’d love to be proved wrong but I think that is probably that.

They are a better side than us, plain and simple.

I think if anything, it has highlighted the fact we are going to need a huge summer, regardless of what league we are in.

They’ve been effective stifling us today…insane shithousery to keep slowing the game down at any opportunity, disrupting any kind of rhythm.
I genuinely don’t think they are a good team, but did a good job on us when we were forced to huff & puff without being effective.

Is it next season the rule comes in that it's a corner for taking too long over a goal kick?

They should also introduce a rule that for keeper injuries, teams need to gather in the center circle, which will never actually need to be enforced because keepers wouldn't go down anymore.

I’m hoping that after today’s showing players like Fleck and Olakigbe are not involved. I detest Walsall’s style of play, in fact I’d stop watching football if Town played like that, but there young players were full of pace and athleticism. We have zero of that across our side and that is a problem we need to address.

Absolutely crap from us, poor game all round , they didn’t exactly set the place on fire and walk away with a 2-0 advantage due to 2 absolute gifts from us. Mandy terrible. Olakigbe terrible(I’d have dragged him off at half time) , I could take 2 nil if we actually showed up but we were dreadful , never built any pressure. We did absolutely nowt. Well done to the folk giving it large on social media for the last week by the way, made us all look like cúnts 👍🏽
