You would think that a good start from us would tip their fans over the edge with many already saying they are done for, some not even bothering with tickets for the home leg etc. They are there for the taking and we dont really want to give them a sniff.

Don't be fooled by all that crap Walsall are still a good side otherwise they'd be at the opposite end of the table. It will take a monumental effort to beat them over two legs.

Agree they are a good side but we have nothing to fear. If we play well over 2 games we will win

We've lost both games against them this season, the away game they were on a run of defeats, but still got the win, I'm not counting any chickens, nor expecting a walkover, 3 or goal leads are not going to happen, they're a good team, and we need to treat them as such
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I'm not sure playing the second leg at home is an advantage any more generally. It was in the old days, but now teams are good at playing away from home and the whole mentality of it has changed. If you get a good result at home first leg, you can pretty much kill the tie. They won't be relishing this at all. I hope we go at them early.

First goal uber important as always

Just look at their results and fall down the table since that guy went back to stoke. From Christmas their form was relegation form.

I'm expecting a very good match with both teams attacking from the off. I have every confidence of us winning, so long as we turn up from the first whistle to the last.

For the stattos out there, McFadzean picked up a tame yellow at home the other week before coming off at HT then another yellow last Saturday. Is he close to a ban if any more picked up against Walsall?

It appears I got the home result wrong, I thort we lost 2 nil, but still, we went to there's and played a team in dire form and lost.
Like I said, I'm not counting any chickens ... these are a good team..

No, the 5 card deadline passed at Xmas, he'd have to be approaching 15 for the season to be in danger(he's on 3 for the season), but I think even that deadline has passed now the season has ended.
I don't think the 'totting up' rules apply to the Play Offs anyway, just a sending off might see a play miss a subsequent play off game.

Lost away without Boot, McFadzean, Palmer, Fleck & Grigg.

It goes without saying that this years support has been fantastic but I haven't seen any "bring your blue shirts, flags, scarves and noise" from the powers that be, sometimes people do need reminding.

Pre-match music loud, fans songs loud and get into them straight away. COYB

They certainly were a good side, but without getting over confident there's no compelling evidence for them being a good side since they lost their main man.

Can’t remember many who had a good match in the away game. Just to highlight how different of a team we are now, Mandeville played 2 mins at the end of the game.

Hoping to see Cookie come out as he does at the away games to get the fans going before kick off.

Last 15 games form table.

Chesterfield 2nd, 24 gls for, 16 gls against. 28pts.
Walsall 20th, 16 gls for, 20 gls against. 14pts.

So only out of the bottom 4 on GD.
If we’re on our game we get through.
