And a two goal lead, you don't fancy us?

I was panicking with a 3 goal lead against Donny with 5 minutes to go, 2-0 would be brilliant but I wouldn’t be confident we’d have the nous to manage it, probably sit too deep, invite them on.

Our odds on both winning Sunday and getting promoted have shortened in the last couple of days suggesting we've had a bit of money put on us.

4s to 3s at both Skybet and WH, but been static after the initial movement.
My basic rule of thumb for play offs is if at home first win the first leg, even by the odd goal, if away first don’t lose, a draws ok. Either way if we kept it to a 1 goal deficit at worse I think we’re still well in the tie. Ideally a repeat of Stockport at home would be very nice indeed!

I hope we swarm all them, a hostile environment, and an early goal

And Dobra gets one sent off

I think we'll win on Sunday scoring a few goals in the process. One of 3-0, 3-1, 4-0, 4-1.

3-0 3-1 or 3-2 is 7.50 (13/2 I think)
Here we go again!

Chesterfield 3-5 goals, 5+ corners for us, Walsall 1+ card is 8/1. That'll be a little one for me.

We all need to turn up, players and fans alike. If we go a goal down early on, we help the lads get back in the match.

Like you, I would like to see us take some breathing space to the second leg.

My memory might be playing tricks, but wasn't Walsall that big side at home who dominated us with power and pace ?
If so we need to be up for the fight and give as much as we get.

Yes , one of the better sides to come here this season imo , they’ve fell off a cliff since Lowe went back tho and we gifted them the 3-1 at their place , awful second half performance not helped by a change in referee just before halftime.

Wimbledon (or was it MK Dons, or both?) were fairly agricultural and quick, I think

No time like the present to get this underway as many of us will have this front and centre of mind between now and Sunday.

My side;

Boot

Mandeville
Palmer
McFadzean
Sparkes

Fleck
Metcalfe

Olakigbe
Dobra
Colclough

Grigg

Subs; Thompson, Pepple, Madden, Grimes, Duffy, Naylor, Jacobs.

Harsh on Gordon perhaps but Sparks is just a bit better. Colclough/Duffy is close but Duffy's greater flexibility gives LB cover off the bench should there be an issue with Sparkes. He probably won't leave out Naylor but I would go back to the usual 4-2-3-1 with Dobra's return. He's a big game player and if anything close to full fitness for 70 mins has to start. It would be a toss up between Naylor and Fleck alongside Metcalfe but would probably favour Fleck (just).

Can’t argue against that starting line up

Memory might be playing tricks, but did these plot play high press/low block up at Sheffield Road and long ball to Lowe?

Doesn’t matter they don’t have Rowe hence just 2 wins since February
A new hope.

Just read that, decent piece to be fair.

I think they're mentally hanging on by a thread, and an early goal or two might kill any remaining hope/will the players might have ,i really hope our crowd is vociferous from the kick off.

I know they say being at home in the second leg is an advantage, but i think in this instance it'll be to our advantage and we need to make the most of it, take a 2/3 goal cushion down there and just play 'keep ball' and hit them on the break with pace.

For me, that's the key. The rest will take care of itself.

I think we have a responsibility on Sunday to set the tone.

You would think that a good start from us would tip their fans over the edge with many already saying they are done for, some not even bothering with tickets for the home leg etc. They are there for the taking and we dont really want to give them a sniff.

By all accounts they were giving it large in the away game the other month so would be nice to be in a position to hear a rendition of "top of the league and you f***ed it up" on sunday
Here we go again!

I have absolutely no doubt it will be loud and aggressive in a positive way. Not harmed by a good number having had a few hours in the sun drinking before.

They'll be getting that about 10 minutes before kick off.

I'm not sure playing the second leg at home is an advantage any more generally. It was in the old days, but now teams are good at playing away from home and the whole mentality of it has changed. If you get a good result at home first leg, you can pretty much kill the tie. They won't be relishing this at all. I hope we go at them early.
