Lots of Swindon fans don't even want Kabby. For Sparkes, he's very useful for L2 but hadn't really made the jump to L1 with all three fan bases saying as much. I'd definitely take him given where we are and he'd be more than useful assuming we're still in L2. I wouldn't read too much into Posh selling because it's what they do. They advertise their wares. They'll want their money back and will hold out given the length of contract. They know he won't make it there hence transfer listing but they certainly won't just cut their loses just yet.

Sorry that’s garbage, Sparkes is very much a league 1 player.

I would have Devon Tanton back in a heartbeat if he stayed fit. Class player and far better than Sheckleford who's very limited going forward.

He came with a good reputation but I'm not sure how you can have seen enough of him to rate him as a 'class player.'Decent pedigree no doubt, but no resilience whatsoever.

Each to their own but I thought he was nothing special at all.

Sparkes is a very decent left back to have in the squad, but Posh may push us away with their value of the player. There will be handy young players who don't get a deal in both Premier League and Championship clubs this summer, and if we're held to ransom by Peterborough we should walk away. Duffy can play all along the left side,so would any cash be better spent elsewhere, maybe on a young striker.
They can certainly keep Kabby, although, as I said previously, I wish him well for the future. A very promising career set back by a tackle not even deemed a foul.

The qualities of Duffy as left back are questionable. I've seen him cover there once and he was poor.

He's been in several defensive situations which haven't gone well eg Cheltenham away. Great natural talent though, that needs work. Very like Clucas.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I saw him very much in the Metcalfe mould - unfortunately Tanton was injury prone and Metcalfe pushed on.

Yes, but everyone has off days. You can't judge a player on one game. If he'd played a run of games and hadn't performed, then yes. You may be right, but I'd like to think, that if he comes with the plaudits that he can play all up the left side of the pitch, then surely he can play there.

The overwhelming opinion of Duffy from Lincoln fans when he signed appeared to be a genuine prospect as a winger but was utilised far too often in a wing-back role at Lincoln where he struggled.

Well, if true, then he isn't much use as a right back, because if he's struggled at wing back, he's really going to struggle at full back. So he's not another Mandy then 🤔.

Agreed, you get strikers who drop back into midfield, and centre backs who can play the full back role, but for a midfielder to be able to play in any of the three attacking midfielder positions, both of the defensive midfield roles as well as full back is phenomenal to say the least. If Duffy can get anywhere near as good, then we'll have a right player.

Of all the players I've seen released so far and if were in the market for a permanent 'keeper, we could do a lot worse than Jamal Blackman, released by Shrewsbury.

Wasnt he on trial previously and turned down a deal?

Yes, he's a decent goalkeeper, but what's to say he'll sign this time. I suppose it will make a big difference to those who the club have earmarked if we get to the promised land of league one.
I think, no matter who comes in, they'll come with league one in mind even if we don't go up this season.

Kevin de Bruyne as he's a free agent.
Marcus Rashford as Utd don't want him.
They would both do well in League 1 for us next season.

Can’t see Cook being keen on signing a player that turned us down last summer, like Dallas boat has sailed on that one.
