Exactly. I'm more bothered about what happens on the pitch. If I can't get tickets it makes it easy, telly and beers instead of getting to Walsall on a Friday night.

Didn't it take yonks to get through the likes of Burntwood and Great Wyrley (pronounced "wirley" - so you've learnt the Yam lingo) back in Feb anyway?

The pubs in Town will be very happy at the allocation!

I don't fancy Sunderland one bit against Coventry!

Not sure many Sunderland fans do....been crap recently plus their recent record against Coventry is horrendous.

Getting there (via Lichfield) was easy enough. Returning home the way we did was horrendous.

They won’t sell out their usual home capacity let alone anything additional from giving us less. I guess they think it’s a risk worth taking or lose out on revenue and have empty seats galore rather than let us having the full stand atleast

Isn't ticket revenue pooled anyway, once costs are taken out by the home side, so any losses to Walsall will be minimal anyway.

As has been said elsewhere, its their prerogative to give us however few they want (within the rules) and the 'that's all you've given us' argument is understandable even if a little petty.

How is it understandable? Why would we not allow home fans the option of tickets to give more to away fans. If we weren't selling out I wouldn't want us to restrict an away allocation vis-a-vis the Notts County of the world.

From Walsall site:

Visiting Supporters

Chesterfield supporters have been allocated tickets on a reciprocal basis from the first leg.

They will be housed partly in the Experienced Energy Solutions Stand and in blocks H7, and H8 of the BAT Holdings Stand. There will be sections of the BAT Holdings Stand open to home supporters.

Should visiting supporters purchase tickets in home areas, your ticket will be immediately cancelled without a refund. Any Walsall fans who purchase tickets and sell on to away fans will face a banning order.

We’d like to thank our supporters for the backing you’ve given the team throughout the 2024/25 season.

It’s been appreciated by everyone at the club. We hope to see a good following at the SMH Group Stadium on Sunday and again at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Friday 16th May.

Where have you heard that? Fair enough if that what they want to do, it's their right. There would have been thousands of empty seats anyway, there'll be even more if this is the case.

It's the same allocation we've always had at Walsall. Perhaps it's feasible (and manageable) to give us an extra block or two down the side but why should they?
Perhaps it's time for CFC to have a better priority system than just ST first come first served. I've been to over 40 games (many will have done more or all) and might well not get one.

It's absolutely not the same allocation we normally get at Walsall.

It's literally never been an allocation we've had at Walsall 😆

Its not even the allocation that we had earlier this season let alone for previous visits.

First time I went to the Bescot in 93 (0-1 Daz Carr header maybe?) I think we were all sat down the side so it is possible John is thinking of that. Every time since we’ve been sat behind the goal.

That wasn't the allocation though. We didn't sell out. We could have sold a few hundred more.

A normal away allocation is circa 2k for the stand behind the goal plus a couple of blocks down the side if required I think.

They have admitted it Is 'tit for tat' or reciprocal as they put it.

Petty but If they sell out which is possible, we can't complain.
