Although they gave us one helluva scare.

Accrington were decent despite the changes

Maybe players playing for a contract next year?

Prophetic that someone from Stretford should sing about there being panic on the streets of Carlisle.

They had their moments all through the game. They just couldn't find their touch for the final shot, but if they'd been a wee bit sharper in the area we'd have struggled.
There was one passing move in a crowded penalty area that must have made Cookie green with envy. It finished with a tame shot, but it was class.

They were very competitive despite all those changes. They had players with a lot of energy wanting to win, nobody was on the beach. We would benefit from more energy and tenacity in midfield.

The halfway line lob was a scare.
And the side foot straight into Boots hands.
But yes, we should have scored more.

Yep. I thought we were sloppy with poor control and passing at times, gifting them easy possession on transition. We are not a well oiled machine in CM yet but I'm sure the Boss will work on it.
Still, who cares??

PS I thought their CH and Captain Devon Matthews looked a rate good prospect. Plucked from non league. 25 years old.

Random fact, courtesy of Paul Fisher.
We have reached at least the Play Offs every season since 20/21.

Which footballing individuals have we got to thank for their service?
Cook, Webb, Roberts, Jason, Grimes (big time), Mandy. Is that it?

Not sure.
But I do know Webb and Mandy are constants for all those seasons. (But not sure who Jason is- the kit man?)

2020/21 play offs were James Rowe's team not Cookies. We lost 3-2 at Notts when Montgomery got injured and we had no sub goalie.

If that's yours, POTY (Post Of The Year). Warrants a gold, nevermind a green.

Apparently, when interviewed after the game Karl Robinson said

'Heaven knows I'm miserable now.'

I'll get my gladioli.

On another sub topic.........

Fadz took a booking in midfield for stopping an attack with a rugby hold. It could be argued that we'd be much higher if others had adopted the tactic earlier in the season. We've been too nice.
