Me too, maybe telling he says he wants to keep a low profile

He says he does but he also says anyone can have a pint with him and ask anything they want.

I guess any existing directorships are available to view online depending what name they're under 😂

So was Darren Brown to start with...

He should have done the interview before the vote and provide the evidence he says he has in response to the issues raised with him.

I'm glad he eventually had his say on the previous chairman's competence and **** stirring

I'd be more worried that Scott Bradshaw is the accountant and director

He made him sound a right knob (no idea if deserved).

He did oversee Matlock's disastrous start to the season and sanctioned Law's signings. I can assure you they were absolutely gash and long contracts are rare at that level. I'm sure more went off between these two individuals than either will let on and I'd take what both have to say with a large pinch of salt.

at the POF live show last Monday I think Kieran Maguire said that David (whatever his name is this week) had 13 directorship active but 11 have gone bankrupt 🤷‍♀️

Given the rate at which Matlock are making eye-catching signings (for NLP 1 level) that last number may soon increase by one.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

The figures being mooched about that the likes of Diego, Dwayne Wiley & the Buxton lad being paid weekly (with decent expenses on top) are eye watering for that level. Montel Gibson who initially wanted to leave has now done a U-turn and agreed to stay. Can’t blame the lads either I just hope for their sake it doesn’t go under by November as I know a couple of the Matlock lads personally. Good lads with nice families.

Surely the talk of up towards a grand a week is wrong?

I’ve just been talking to someone who likely knows and said £800 plus expenses and £10k signing on for Diego.

Was told early this year, one of the current seasons CB's was on £750 game.. 😲, I really wasn't sure, but the info was said to have come from his dad?

£800 a week , paying full time wages for part time players is madness as for signing on fee even worse

Didnt Buxton go full time in the last couple of years so likes of the two lads Matlock have signed from there will be full time players and i suspect the lad from Alfreton is as well.

Don't worry, Matlock fans. All will be fine.
Once you've started a phoenix club playing at Cavendish Fields as Causeway Lane will be a building site.
These go to eleven.

Hasnt it been mentioned in this thread somewhere that the club dont own the land, its leased or something to the sports clubs so owning the football club doesnt give you any ownership rights to the land.

I can imagine that if the club did go bust then a new club starting up would have a shot at still being able to use the ground or failing that it would be a right old battle to get ownership of the land, especially with the cricket club still on there, before you even get into the wrangles of planning permission and battles with councils and locals.

If anyone is interested in this kind of thing it isn't too difficult to get an office copy from the Land Registry.

Full time at Buxton doesn’t mean full time at Matlock. Most likely they’ll be on the same money or more than at Buxton but also reverting back to part time. Alfreton are still part time. It’s a win win if you’re at a certain point in your career. More money & more time at home. Until it goes pear shaped anyway then they’ll all end up at either of the Retfords, Normo, Clay Cross or Shirebrook.
