Why is it OK to comment on someone's looks and weight in a way that would be totally unacceptable if it referenced their colour or religion (or sexual preference)? This is just as discriminatory and generalist crap that you would be crying about if it was against some other groups.

The worst kind of moaner is a hypocritical moaner. I'm going to stand up for my fellow overweight and ugly men (although I dont really wear trainers.. and I'd never vote reform). And say that you are as bad or worse than those you criticise.

Can I ask you to cease from commenting on white overweight blokes then, only fair. That could be me so I am taking offence on behalf of all of us...

Wow - on a board which it’s acceptable to label a group of sexual deviants as “Muslim rape gangs’ repeatedly and similar - this is your take?
This is your comment?

I thought you were better than the likes of S&D and Quaker - that’s disappointing

Erm, I have never said that it is acceptable to use that language for anything - but then I am not the hypocrite crying about the insults on one hand and then dishing them out on the other. Be consistent - either its OK to insult anther group or its not.

I'd like to say I thought you were better but you always seem to like whingeing about something said to you whilst dishing it out to others.

PS my views on using Mailesque language without referencing facts are covered elsewhere. On that short hand name for the groups, I'd ask the question does it factually fit... but in the same way I dont agree with tarring the good name of a group for the sake of a few I would say the same there. Some muslims involved in rape gangs is more accurate, I believe.

Just shy of another 300 arrived yesterday, getting food, shelter warmth and priority health care. How hollow is the smash the gangs slogan now eh?
No wonder Starmer is despised. I can sense this being an absolutely catastrophic night for Labour.

Just returned from voting and for the parish election there were 2 candidates, Reform and Independent. NO Labour candidate at all.
What is Starmer doing to Labour? After tonight’s bloodbath, and I’ll stick my neck out now and call it that, surely the rank and file, the back benches, those who pull the strings must realise that he is poison to the voters, a toxic metropolitan who despises the working British people. Keep him at the parties peril.

Starmer simply has to go and he should take his deputy and chancellor with him.

The back benches and party funders will be whispering in the corners of Westminster very very soon I’d imagine.

The Red Queen (Deputy PM) is apparently a favourite of The Dark Lord (Blair) and so is a stalking horse for the leadership.

One casualty may well be Red Ed as Energy Secretary as apparently the Dark Lord thinks he’s a liability and they should change course on Net Zero

Labour peer Harriet Harman saying on SkyNews this morning if she knew the Runcorn by election was going to be as close as 6 votes she would have gone there herself and campaiged. How condescending to the voting public there. She’d have gone and talked to them only because it was close? Whi not meet ordinary folk like that on a regular basis, you might get the feel for their problems and issues then rather than the structured meet and greets that senior Labour figures only do.
Some Labour bods saying Starmer should have gone to Runcorn….not a chance of that, he knows it would be comedy gold at best and at worst his barracking would have been catastrophic viewing for the party.
Call Farage and Reform all you like but they were out of the streets meeting and talking to voters in huge numbers all over the country, from everyday folk and party members right to the top of the tree.

Starmer this morning says “I could mention all the reasons (excuses) why we have lost so many seats but I won’t talk about them…..” and then proceeds to discuss every one 😂😂. Then talks about something else which was about 5 minutes ago and I’ve forgotten!

He is such a bland, boring orator with no public personality. And yes obviously policies matter but look what the popular party leaders are achieving around the world.

Yet more proof that this abhorrent Liebour government view the rape gang scandal as nothing more than an inconvenience and a vote loser if they pursue it. She should be sacked, but then again why would she be if the PM shows little appetite for disagreeing with her?
Vile, disgusting government…

A seriously eyebrow-raising set of comments from Commons leader Lucy Powell on Any Questions last night during a discussion around councils with Tim Montgomerie:

Montgomerie: “I don’t know if you saw that documentary on Channel 4 about rape gangs?“
Lucy Powell: “Oh, we want to blow that little trumpet now, do we? Let’s get that dog whistle out, shall we, yeah?“

Yep, she’s trying to row back on it but the original interviewer, Tim Montgomery, is doubling down.
It’s after about 40 seconds on the audio clip, you hear the clapping just fizzle out.
