Incorrect - you have to be in the UK. How do you get to the UK then, enter on a different visa and then apply? Buzz incorrect - this will work against you as you will have lied on your previous tourist etc visa. Thanks for playing.

Maybe you thought that people were coming across on small boats due to their love of the the bracing sea air?

Genuine Ukranian refugees were given temporary protection across the EU and in the UK to be reviewed in 2026. They did not have to be in those countries to apply. Their country of choice was made whilst in Poland.

Those in boats, the vast majority, are not refugees but economic migrants and as such are not eligible to apply for asylum, even if it was easy to do so. You really think we should have an easy asylum claim format for the tens of thousands arriving illegally in boats who chuck away their passsports. Genune asylum seekers would not do that.

Other groups of genuine refugees seeking safety are able to apply in the first safe country they enter.

How do you know the vast majority are economic migrants? Is that a fact or just a daily mail phrase you have chosen to run with. Show me a fact check that it isnt just a phrase whipped up to support your comments..

Well it’s the day before large parts of the country gets its first chance to show this repugnant, anti British, wretched government what they really think of them, and in the Bolsover constituency, where I reside, we’ve still not received a single leaflet, knock at the door, phone call or postal communication encouraging us to vote Labour. They know they’re despised and would be vilified on the streets, it’s almost as though they are too ashamed to show their faces.
Starmer is bringing the Labour Party to its knees.

What would Dennis have to say?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

I’d imagine he’d probably be thinking along my lines, certainly re Starmer. But that’s pure conjecture on my part,

On the flip, how do you know they aren’t?

Appears nobody has any idea who vast swathes of them are so both are on the table.

I've got a better idea. Why don't you provide the evidence they're not.

Nothing more than a parasite..

Reeves investigated over late declaration of theatre tickets
Chancellor Rachel Reeves is being investigated by the parliamentary standards watchdog over one of her registrations of interest.
Sky News understands the probe relates to the receipt of tickets from the National Theatre, which were declared late on the MPs register.
It is understood they were declared on time on a separate register for government ministers.
An investigation being launched does not necessarily mean rules have been broken, and a spokesperson for Reeves said: "The chancellor's interests are fully declared and up to date."

I’d imagine Dennis is as appalled as a huge number of voters and party members at the current direction of treacle if the Labour Party.

A nothing story this, she registered well in time on the forms for ministers and late on the normal MP version.

Judging by the reds and greens some people on here have made their mind up without any knowledge.

I cant be certain - but then I didnt make a sweeping statement so have nothing to back up...I'd rather deal in facts not mailesque generalisations.

(I have visited some asylum hotels when we were researching it and could comment on the nationalities then as I was provided with them....most were reasonable countries for them to be avoiding persecution but I cant say more than that and it was in 2021)

Having been caught out before you would have thought it was something she would now know about and avoid at all costs.

But at least we are talking about the registration and not the fact that she took more freebies despite the fact SKS said they would not be taking freebies any more. If it was the blue party doing this there would be outrage...

I’m not defending Rachel from accounts levels of competence Ian, that’s a pretty hard thing to do - but in the big picture it’s a nothing story.

A muppet who is to be fair part of a front bench full of muppets has got something wrong. Again.

But it’s not like earth shattering stuff. Just another sign of how incompetent the Labour Party front bench are

I rarely bother voting in these elections and have little motivation to do so tomorrow. No idea who is up in my ward, whatever it's called. Polling station at the end of the street so will see if I have any sudden motivation tomorrow.

Luckily there aren’t elections in my area as we’re under the so called reforms. Because there are literally no one worth voting for
