Grigg worked his wotsits off this afternoon and took some right hammer in the process.
He deserved his goal.

He’s a class player. There’s no doubt we need to sign someone in the summer to share the workload up front but to think he will more than contribute again next season.

As for Kyle Macfadzean and John Fleck, I think this was probably a game too far for the former after his injury, but Fleck had a reasonable game, to my mind.

Unreal honestly, the blokes been an absolute rolls Royce in pretty much every game since he signed. He found it difficult today because he was clearly fatigued from the Friday game (which he was excellent in btw). That’s more on Cook for selecting him than it is McFadzean.
A proper pre season for him and he’ll be an absolute asset for us next season no doubt about it

A good pre season, and he will be only 29 in August.

Must admit, I could not work out why we were set up like we were from the start. Naylor too far out on the left was never close enough to central midfield to provide any help in that area. Some have suggested he was playing as a No10 but if so I was sat in the East Stand and was closer to giving Will Grigg some support than our Tom. Talking of Will Grigg, of course, brings me to the officials if only to ask that if the one incident when their CB molested him from behind was judged to be a foul how come the many many other times when the CB brutally assaulted from behind was judged to be fair play?
Coming back to the starting set up, Mandeville seemed all at sea as he was tucked in a little inside giving their winger too much space. Tactically, they were all over us but we were 2 down before we started to slightly adjust things. Physically we were losing the battle all over the pitch. I do not know if this was due to do with our opening tactics or a game too far for the likes of Fleck, MacFadzean and Araujo who has just come back from a bad injury incurred before Christmas and only come into the side because Gordon has been ill.
Moving on, though, credit to the lads for keep going and not giving up easily like some supporters seem so willing to do. Cook made what seemed strange substitutions but they worked and we won ourselves a point which keeps us in the shake up. Hopefully, we can win another 3 points on Saturday which should make the day of the Accrington game very interesting.

Just seen it on TV and it looks very soft and more so when you consider the shirt pulling that was let go by the ref when they were defending corners as the second half went on. One corner madden was having his shirt pulled from before it was taken and then still as the ball travelled in. This was the same for numerous of our players. All the assistant in front of the west stand cared about was the being in the right place!

Its not the decision that is incorrect but singling that one incident out while ignoring all the other stuff; that's the issue
