They’ve got a handful of players on contracts for next season as well which won’t help. Could sadly be the end if they don’t properly navigate these next few months.

57 players made at least one appearance for them.
1200+ there yesterday and 4th highest average in league of 870 + those full house friendlies.
Shameful really but if they don't do an Ilkeston and go pop, they'll probably still get good crowds next season as they never dipped thought out the season.

Sounds like the person in question was happy to acknowledge their error and issue the public apology for making it.

Probably hard to keep up with who his registered and who isn't the way they have behaved.
I'm sure his blushes will be saved as they are already 5 points behind with playoff chasing I'son to play tomorrow in the penultimate match.

Nicky Law cocked it up big time, booting out all but three of the previous year's players (because he hadn't seen them play) and signing players from the division below and the one below that. I would be surprised if any of his signings were there by November. I also don't think the 'mystery money' man was there the time.
One good thing is that Matlock don't own the ground, so that goes some way to mitigates against a dubious owner

Nicky Law and dubious owners, where have I heard that before ?
Very good point re the ground, that could be very fortunate in the long term.

There’s apparently a vote coming up as to whether to remain a fan-owned club or, as their website leadingly puts it, “changeover to the private ownership model providing investment.” Sounds like a vote between having a club or inviting a fraudster through the front door.

Sounds like they might be about to vote for their own destruction.

I was under the impression they had already agreed the ownership model back before Christmas without knowing the owner (officially). Seems daft to have another one after he has allegedly pushed a great deal of money the clubs way. Don't see much good coming out of voting against the model now as that will come at a price if he has put real money into the club.

Why is football run continuously by idiots and crooks?
