It's not a case of that mate, I thought everyone and their mother had seen the evidence doing the rounds when it happened. Plus (at risk of sounding like a Bob's Board in the know type tit) I've heard straight from the horses mouths. He did it, you can bet your house on that.

Everyone knows he did it. Not everyone knows why he did it. And a court may agree that his no guilty plea is reasonable.

Not really the argument I'd be using considering all he did was have a scrap in a pub something you see all the time

Not condoning what he’s alleged to have done, but we’ve had (and idolised) players who’ve done much worse.

And that was wrong as well, I don't care if I'm in the minority with it I don't want someone with a track record of being a violent dickhead at my club

James Rowe proved one persons word against another always gives you a 50/50 chance.
God I hate this league.

Wasn’t he eventually acquitted too?
I understand it’s always tricky continuing to employ someone when they are facing a trial, but so many people seem to forget the vital democratic principle ‘innocent until proven guilty’, preferring instead to go down the route of ‘no smoke without fire.’

Bit of a difference, we signed Chad Evens knowing all the gory details from the first trial and before his retrial. It was a completely unnecessary signing and was self inflicted damage but Colclough was still our player when charged so the principle you mentioned is valid.

My original reference wasn’t about Evans, I wouldn’t say he was idolised here.

Weren't we just used by Sheffield United? Not sure if I'm making that up but seem to remember it being pre-agreed he'd go back to them once we'd taken the heat.

Think it was heavily mooted at the time but never confirmed I guess, didn’t get them or us very far though did it.

Colclough anonymous again today. Smiled his way through the game never once getting stuck in. Just a passenger we can’t afford.

I agree. I looked forward to him starting or coming on at one time but, apart from the occasional flash in the pan, as per his cross-shot in the first half that was narrowly wide, he doesn’t contribute enough.

Thought his body language was unacceptable today, really thought he would be pulled at halftime, for me that is practically two seasons of mediocre performances.IMO

Yeah very annoying ain’t he? Much better him coming on as sub last 20. Put a lovely ball across second half just before he came off but that was about it. He just doesn’t do enough.

Hit the outside of the post but should have hit the target.

Was moaning when he got took off and cookie gave him a piece of his mind when he’d sat on the bench.

He was not happy with cook when taken off, he exchanged a few words with the boss. Apart from one great effort in 1st half he was non exsistent and I don't think we'll be seeing much of him in the next 2 games. Hope Duffy gets his chance. harvey struggled at fullback, glad Grimes came on at the end and settled things down as he did the other week. The defence were not good today and lost too many battles in the air until jamie came on. Dobra and banks would have made a big difference.

To be fair to him today, he was absolutely hung out to dry by playing with Araujo. There was no overlap, no through balls, no link-up play.
Olakigbe got in the game more (and was still very poor with the ball) as Mandeville got him involved more from right back.

That said, I wouldn’t keep him next season.

Neither Araujo nor Gordon are good foil for Coco. He’s best when someone supports him well up the pitch, like Horton or, and I’m not sure they have played together, Sparkes.
