I see the Government are sending Military Planners into Birmingham to help get rid of the rubbish piling up. Why don't they send in people to encourage the Labour council to pay these people a decent wage? They didn't hold back when paying NHS staff and train drivers.

Because, the Labour council have proven they can't run jack shít; except, of course, when it comes to excessive hospitality and the handing out contracts to known associates, and aiding the employment of friends and family members....

You should read what you type before you post, Ian and take a second to try and understand how you come across.

I am comfortable with what I say and don't really care what you think i come across as.

But maybe as someone says I come across as someone who spent months studying this, putting a board paper together on it, negotiating rates and working out how much more lucrative it was than normal trade... for my boss to decide he didn't fancy it.

Still irritates me but hey ho.

Was Birmingham one of those that were basically declared bankrupt?

Where are the Muslim 'community leaders'? Seem to have lost their gobs on the rapist gang issue. They can attend Downing Street for a chat with Starmer, and talk about everything but the rapists in their communities and the families that have willfully hidden their despicable behaviour.

We have Bradford council already saying they'll resist an inquiry/don't need one -

Anna, from Bradford, in care, 14 years old; raped multiple times, forced to marry her rapist. The social worker attends her wedding. Social worker arranges for her to be fostered by her rapists family. Local institution clearly complicit in the abuse.

Welfare rights officer (Muslim), ringleader of the Oldham rapist gang.

Rotherham councillor implicated in the rapes.

Three SYP officers arrested for historis child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Another SYP involved in the drug and sex trade. Officer dies in a very mysterious circumstances from a hit and run.

Khan stating there are no rape gangs in London, and accusing anyone who suggests there is, of being Islamophobic.

Angela Raynor's lead advisor, was head of Oldham council at the time the abuse was going on.

Current Telford MP (Labour) who, when head of Telford council, denied rape gangs were operating in Telford. The Telford enquiry found otherwise. Lucy Allen (did incredible work for the victims) replaces him; she's then constantly harassed and abused by certain members of her community. She then loses her seat back to the rapist gang denier.

Sarah Champion - deselected from Labour's front bench for stating we have a huge problem with Pakistani men raping working-class white girls.

A KC having to ask if he's 'still needed' by the government.

Insane characters like, Tessa Munt (Lib Dem), stating in parliament, it's 'white men' doing the abuse. Closely followed by Mameira Wilson (Muslim Lib Dem) claiming she's feeling 'offended' by the constant talk about Muslim rapist gangs. Not the victims of the rapists; no, not interested in that.

Judge stating that rape gangs details are 'contrary to the public interest'.

Jess Philips - say no more; her name belongs in the dirt.

And we want these lot to mark their own homework? Pathetic. Labour are a disgrace.

It’s not a labour are a disgrace issue. This isn’t a new thing -‘Johnson said Ann enquiry would be pointless and just spaffing money up the wallS

No party has shown any willingness to take this on. They are all turds that need flushing past the U bend

People like Maggie deserve a medal for refusing to bow down to those wanting to cover up the rape gang scandal.

MPs who fail to protect rape gang victims told they may face PROSECUTION as Maggie Oliver delivers huge update on brave bid to deliver justice: ‘It’s the only way’

and I hope these MPs, councillors and the rest do get prosecuted and serve time behind bars

What the establishment has done is an outrage and they need to pay for it.

Maggie and the rest who wouldn’t be silent in the dance of the treacherous establishment should be in the new years honours list.

Not that there is anything honourable about this whole sordid scandal

And those of this mentality, or should I say mental illness need outing, named and shamed.

I think at the grand old age of 61 I'm acutely aware of my faults (of which there are many). In my defence I would say that those who know me know me know what I am really like and those who judge me on here probably dont fall into the category of those whose opinion matters. My guess is you are suggesting arrogant know it all, and I'd suggest in return, someone massively hacked off with the crap information and disinformation that is peddled by the press and others and which then seemingly becomes fact and if you disagree with it you must be wrong (even if you spent months studying it in detail and for once actually know what you are talking about). But I am at the West Ham game on Saturday with a guy whose firm handles dozens of these contracts so I'll ask him for any ranges that he can share so we have it straight from the horses mouth (as he signs the contracts for them!)..

I'm a nice guy really, just have to stand my ground and defend my position in work and it spills over occasionally :) I do try to only comment on stuff I know about - hence you wont find my telling Cooky his team selection or substitutions are crap!

And then one miserable sod didnt turn up and didnt let me know before hand so I paid for him for nowt.

It was a good day, I have zero politically in common with most of them but would say that it shows that you can have a fun and civil time with most people if they are decent humans underneath. And apols for dropping you, I clearly cant count to 10 and remember to include myself (or was it 8..?)

Did anyone see The Great British Tagging Scandal on Channel 4 last night? Yet another farce served up by Serco and The Ministry of Justice.

Despite me shouting at the TV, the documentary failed to ask the obvious question, why prisoners are tagged after their release and not as part of their release? In other words, tagged in prison on the day of their release. Surely this would save a lot of time, money and embarrassment.

I see Sir Alan Bates is recommending that the remaining Post Office Horizon victims sue the government, their stalling tactics are a disgrace. I remember Starmer giving the Tories so much grief at the dispatch box for doing the exact same thing. Are they just waiting for them all to die I wonder?

In some cases they are only offering 60% of what victims lost.

You could say the same about the pensions deal with NUM versus BCSSS... no rush, if they stall it will cost less...

Seems the compensation payouts for the blood scandal aren’t exactly being actioned at pace ( labour buzz word ) either.

30,000 folk infected, 12 billion put aside for payouts but as of mid-March only 40 people received compensation.

Reported last week that channel crossings up by a quarter on this time last year.

Give the government some slack, though. They inherited a black hole.

After 656 arrived by small boat on Saturday, and another 119 yesterday there are rumours in the media that todays total is going to be over 700….700 in a single day!
Unsustainable. No deterrent whatsoever.

The 700 that arrived today will cost the UK tax payer a further £28million pounds a year.
When will liar Starmer stand at the Downing Street lectern and actually address this disaster rather then useless rhetoric.
