Never been a golfer and only really take an interest around the Ryder cup and the majors, but this is gripping, McIllroy genius to sunday player then back to genius.

The initial comeback from the start by Rory and then again since looking like he’d blown it shows how good he is. Couple of shots since the water moment have been ridiculous.

Incredible watch. Never known such swings of the lead in a Masters.

It’s like watching penalties in a major final

Rory just played the shot in the playoff that he should have played last time!

that final round from Mcilroy went from the sublime to the ridiculous and then some

he was finally destined to win his career grand slam after many previous disappointments

What a superb few hours of sport that last round was, as I said I’m not a golfer and apart from the odd major or Ryder Cup I don’t watch it, but that’s was up there with some of the best live moments I’ve seen.

We went away on holiday this morning setting off to drive early’ish but I stayed up to the end as it was one of those sporting moments you had to watch.

Was up early yesterday (golf) and stayed up until after the presentation and interviews. Outstanding TV viewing. I can see Rory winning another major this year now that monkey is off his back. Won the TPC this year- known by some as the 'fifth major.'

Gripping stuff I really felt for the guy, a knighthood on it's way.
