I hope Dobra's ok, but it didn't look good as he pulled up.

Pretty pathetic isn’t it? Can’t be doing with em.
They were truly awful. Fleetwood btw. Nah… both.

McFadzean did well v their big, mobile lad. He's a class above, as we know. Palmer took his goal very well indeed and did well enough at the back. I'm starting to re-think whether he warrants a squad place for next year. Still not sure, but he's not done himself any harm of late. Gordon did well. Mandeville did very well for most of the game - arguably MOTM as he played the full game. Metcalfe did really well - MOTM contender. Fleck did ok; some good distribution and some less good stuff. Dobra looked a threat as he can do - hope he's ok. Olakigbe did far better today than the last game, albeit v a poorer FB. Did well though. Colclough did some things very well and some things less so. He's a threat though. Grigg did well enough although he rightly looked disappointed with his big chance.
Banks strolled about a bit, seemed to opt out of a 50-50, made some good passes and a couple of poor ones. I've said it before, but I can't help but think that when his career finishes he'll be thinking about what he could have achieved. Shame really.
Naylor put a shift in as he always does, Madden took his goal very well - as he has tended to do in his career. And Duffy had a cameo.
And we're not out of the hunt just yet. COYB

Yes, you never know. We saw the unpredictability in our last three games.
Look, things overall are good. Look at the bigger picture and longer term. The foundations are there, the feel good factor is here. It will click. If this not season, maybe next season.
I think we can all agree on one thing - Chesterfield Football Club is going places. The road will be bumpy but we will get there.

He had control of the ball and passed it wide. Nowt to do with pace.
He was that slow he was the only player keeping up with and making himself available to our quickest player whilst ensuring he stayed onside. He dealt with their CB but, unfortunately, steered his shot wide when everybody in the stadium expected to see the net bulge. It happens to the best.
I do wonder if our 3 strikers are coming in to form at just the right time or just a little too late. Time will tell. But, apart from Grigg I thought both Madden and Pepple did well today and the former took his chance very well from the latter’s cross.
Metcalfe was MoM for me today. Covered a lot of ground, was up for the battle, put a few tackles in, passed and controlled the ball well against another big and physical outfit.

Like you, mate, the bookies often get it wrong.
I said at the beginning of the season I would be happy with consolidation. I believe it took the Stags 13 seasons to get promotion out of this league and they’ve thrown millions at it. If and when we go up I want us to be ready for the challenge we will face and consolidate again not be constantly looking over our shoulders to see how far off we are from the drop zone.
Anyway, with 4 games to play we have an outside chance. We need a good Easter next and then see where that leaves us.
