Like most of the home matches this season, pass back sideways backwards again, and little to no threat up front.

All a bit meh. Like lots of modern football it’s all left right left right left right but no real intent. Players like dobra seem to be a dying breed, someone who wants to run at players. Grigg has had no service at all. All a bit…..nothing.

I'm by no means calling for his head but Cook and co really need to put some serious changes in place for next season. Our build up play is so slow, ponderous and predictable. It's ball-achingly boring.

Not too shabby until the last ten minutes, there. Should at least be one up but for a quality last-gasp tackle and Metcalfe and Olakigbe have both come close. Then we seemed to forget which way we were kicking and I got sidetracked by a magpie, which is never a good sign.

Good article here about modern football being a bit dull…..

According to sky sports we have just had 70% possession and no shots on target

If we aren’t in a promotion place this time next season, crowds will dwindle off, and the well earned feel good factor will well and truly have gone.

Much as I like Cook, some of the football dished up this season has been as dull as most 90s Serie A borefests.

We’ve tried plenty of forward balls, some great switches of play from Fleck to Olakigbe (who looks decent then usually hits first man with cross)

Metcalfe, McFadzean, Fleck all trying to play forward passes but none have come off, either been defended well or the player they’ve got to wasted them

Need someone else on corners in second half an all, not sure what’s up with Mandeville

I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking surely Fleck is worth another year and then pray to the pagan gods he doesn't get injured

Totally with you on that

As much of a spineless weasel as Gary Neville is I agree with him on that one. Players are terrified of giving the ball away and everyone has to play this Guardiola style of play, whether they can actually do it or not. Football has become a science, it used to be an art.

The curse of psychic Rev strikes again, haha! A bit of buffering at the wrong moment, but at least it was good news 😄👍

Thank god for that. That's what happens when you actually show a bit of intent and run at people.

What a miss from Grigg. I’d have bet the house on him finishing that.

Need Newport to score v Colchester we'll be 8th, however with the Fishy Smelling ones beating the Tea Room Ladies we're 6 points behind the Play-offs.
