Another new thread that isn't required. Hopefully the mods will do what is needed.

Sad little man.

Duffy had a poor night but he's a decent player. I expect him to play a big part next season.

Perhaps you were still at home in the shower when he almost scored after 30 seconds!

To be fair, it wasn’t his best game last night their full back was probably the MOM

He was very poor last night but only a smooth-brain would think it's because he's not a good footballer. Which explains the thread.

Stunning that there is no consideration given to who a player is up against. Likewise when a fullback is up against a top player which happened to Sheckleford a while back - suddenly they are **** and should never pull on a club shirt again.
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

Not that stunning when the thread starter is seen. By all accounts he is a piss-pot loud mouth that knows very little about football and isn't afraid to show it. It was clear after about 4 minutes that the Gillingham full back was extremely good. My only criticism might be that Cook didn't do what he often does and swap the wide players over just to change it up and give them something to think about.

His football knowledge is actually very good, it’s a huge part of his life and he follows the game closely

Trouble is, like many fans, he’s so passionate about town that it distorts his view.

Nothing but the best is acceptable, anything other than a win is not acceptable for town well unless against Chelsea in the cup. And even then he’s looking for things that could be improved on., or rather criticism for what didn’t go well.

He won’t accept second best for town under any circumstances which makes his views and posts seem bizarre and critical in the extrem, which they are

And he knows this so also is very naughty by playing to the galleries and those who bite

But believe me you won’t find a fan who wants town to do well any more than Walton. He’s followed town for 40 odd years, many away games in far flung places and he’s absolutely livid when town lose. You couldn’t get a more biased pro town fan. This is his way of venting off when we do, and getting a wry smile out of it when people bite at his nonsense sometimes

I remember coming back from Halifax after a draw I think it was the season when we lost to Cambridge at Wembley and he said we’re gonna fall short, this side isn’t good enough to go up. I said any side with Dave Waller up front is good enough on the day - he said and if we don’t have Dave Waller we’re a bottom half side. As it turned out we didn’t have Waller at Wembley and we didn’t go up and for a few seasons we were a bottom half side

I’d rather that, than those who’d be happy to watch a version of town playing Sunday league standard ground sharing with staveley in front of 600 fans couple of dogs on leads as happy as long as there was a town game to go and watch - and we have our share of those as well, but with no vitriol towards them

Indeed, but why doesn’t he post anything positive and is never heard after a win? Brittas is pretty similar, although even he has posted a couple of compliments after wins, totally outnumbered by his posts predicting doom and gloom though.

If supporting town was an ideological concept Walton would be on the extreme edge and most certainly not in the centre ground. Something I’m sure you can relate to

Fair enough, but a bit of credit for balance now and then wouldn’t go amiss. It would also help give him more credibility for those who think he’s just a troll. I now realise he isn’t but were I new to the board that’s what I would initially think. Indeed at one time the thought occurred that he might be a Mansfield supporter on the wind up. I now know he knows too much about our players (even though I often disagree with him on them) for that to be the case.

Credit for opposition and balance won’t ever feature in Waltons posts, yet he gets banned/suspended.

When you look at stuff like posts saying the royal family have faked cancer and yet didn’t get banned - you have to question the moderation on this forum don’t you.

Which is more worthy of a ban, which is more extreme? Which had more sanctions?
