On reflection I wouldn't be against benching Dobra tonight and playing Banks centrally with Duffy and Olakigbe wide (accepting MO seems better on the left).

Mandy and Duffy wide if we have a fit option at RB

Those two can match Dobs work rate
A new hope.

Banks got 1866 MOM. I have no idea how, but at the level it all comes under the heading 'inconsistent', which is tolerated.

On Saturday? Well, there weren't many candidates that's for sure.

I'm sure we'll see a different performance tonight, but I don't think it'll be an easy win. The odd goal will do, but to keep my blood pressure at bay 3-0 would be what the doctor ordered 😁.

I'd have chosen Pepple, for superbly creating the chance which Banks missed.

He tried his best despite the usual rough treatment and virtually no decision in his favour despite his shirt being held/pulled on several occasions.

The media team didn't even bother running their usual Twitter/X MOM poll.

I thought Pepple played pretty well to be honest. Mandeville was good first half as well. Not much to chose from after that though. Banks has been good recently but not on Saturday.

Off at a tangent.......
How long is it since we got a free kick just outside the penalty area? There must be a relationship between their frequency and the quality of our attacking play.

Was thinking the same. Ironic since Oldaker fell out of favour. However if we did I’m sure there are others who could step up such as Banks and Mandy.

I’m looking forward to the game this evening. I think we will win.

It then sets up an exciting Easter period where where either way we will know our play off fate. Sit back and enjoy it

Well it really is a must win tonight. Even a draw and it’s all over bar the mathematics. Just imagine what an exciting run in it could have been had we not been humiliated on Saturday, or more pertinently not dropped those 5 or 6 silly points early in the season.
On our day we are a match for anyone in this division, trouble is you never know what you’re going to get.
Even if we win tonight I fear we will end the season thinking what could have been.

'We're ready to take on Chesterfield on Tuesday, which will be at an old-fashioned bigger stadium, and the conditions will probably be a bit better because these bigger stadiums don't let the conditions in, and it becomes more of a purist game. I think that we're good at that. We showed that against Colchester, so I am looking forward to that.'

What the hell is Ainsworth on about?

A merry go round manager that seems to milk every job for its penny. Like the latter day Martin Allen or Micky Adams.

He’s only had four permanent managerial positions in 13 years of management and one of those is his current club who he only joined last month.

Admittedly he jumped ship from Shrewsbury very quickly but from what I understand regarding the state of the club, you can’t blame him.

Not sure he can be bracketed with Maddog quite yet

It’s just how we play, we’re not direct so defenders stand off when we are just at the edge of the box cause they know we won’t shoot from there and will pass it to the side. Sounds sarcastic but it’s true.

I tell you what I find bizarre grigg didn’t start Saturday, he has scored 6 away and 2 at home in the league , perhaps we should start him more away

It was never going to happen with 3 games in a week and just comeback from a serious injury as you well know Cookie doesn't risk injured players coming back he never has for any club he has been at and he told you in his interview too
