But you set the standard here, Mark.

The benchmark.

The line in the sand.

Johnson lied to a succession of wives and girlfriends and mistresses.

Which you said was okay.

He lied to his employer and party leader resulting in being sacked.

Which you said was okay.

He lied throughout the Brexit referendum.

Which you said was okay.

He lied throughout the twenty nineteen election campaign.

Which you said was okay.

He lied to his constituents about lying in front of diggers in terms of the Heathrow extension.

Ironically the only lying he didn't then do. But, of course, all okay by you.

He lied to the Queen, to the House and the British people. Over and over and over again.

To the point more than sixty of his own ministers resigned, his party demanded his resignation and Parliament expelled him in slumped shoulders disgrace.

Yet you still say that was all okay.

Then shall we discuss your championing of Trump? A man for whom the term pathological is utterly inadequate? Shall we list the lies told by your party leader Farage? His previous parties? Their members?

Once more all okay by you.

Starmer did lie. To become Labour leader and PM. As every politician has done throughout the centuries. Of all parties and persuasions.

From which I'm prepared to publicly distance myself as I did Corbyn.

However it just counters credibility to see contributors condemning one side with a political version of Tourettes whilst enthusiastically endorsing the other...

I’m not sure what the relevance of the post is to this thread, this is the Labour thread to highlight people’s views of the Labour government and Starmer.
Or as Goku might say # whataboutery

Not one thing there alters the fact that Starmer is the most duplicitous, lying, incompetent fraud of a PM that this country has ever had. Hes treacherous and I despise him.

One thing I do agree with is I should refrain from using thinly veiled cuss words to describe him in case people are offended by the most explicit of profanities. But I’m sure they know by know it’s what I think of him. But I’ll desist .

I am not a fan but compared to Boris, he is an angel. However, the fact he is being compared should send out the warning signals, I am sure he would rather be compared to Blair....

Starmer's government has let down hundreds of thousands of Labour members and millions of Labour voters.

Badly let down.

I'll say that loud and clear as one of both.

Because the country was crying out for change, yet all we've thus far witnessed is an insipid impression of what went before.

The point here, though, is that change was abundantly necessary because of the catalogue of corruptions Johnson and his cohorts inflicted upon us.

And it's beyond hypocrisy to now peddle condemnation of what was excused, exonerated or even extolled from them...

You must be a secret admirer of Trump, if only 'cos of his drive.
Starmer can't even bring the Post Office Scandal to a close.

Yet more hatred and others to blame. You've done Netanyhau, you've done Trump and now it's back to Boris. Whose next in your firing line of venom, Farage?

Bizarre post. I’ve locked horns many times with EoC about politics…but he was criticised for not commenting on Starmer. He has. For not passing comment on their recent performance. He has. And he’s not blaming others!

Is it hatred? Nah just criticism. Fair play to him I say whereas it looks like you’re point scoring and clutching at straws by doing it.

Why dont this Labour government seem to have any appetite to get to the bottom of the rape gang scandal?

Home Office minister Jess Phillips quietly announced that the government has dropped its much-vaunted five local grooming gang inquiries. She said they’d take “flexible approach,” with the £5 million given to councils if they choose to support rape gang work instead. Just 45 minutes before MPs packed up for recess…

The Home Office insists the change doesn’t necessarily mean the inquiries are off the table, just that they won’t be “prescriptive”. Robert Jenrick called it yet another example of Labour’s “two-tier justice system” – pointing out that “more people have been sentenced for the Rotherham summer riots than for decades of rape gang abuse in the same town.” Meanwhile, Nigel Farage slammed the decision as “disgraceful and cowardly”…

Sky News presenter Trevor Phillips, former head of the Commission for Racial Equality and the Equality and Human Rights Commission, hit the airwaves today to express his outrage over Labour’s “political” move. He said on Times Radio:

“I think what the government is doing on that question is utterly, utterly shameful. Utterly shameful. And it is so obviously political. Because it’s so obvious that they’re not doing this because of the demographic of the people involved, as Katie Lam, the Tory MP, said yesterday, largely Pakistani Muslim in background, and also in Labour held seats and councils who would be offended by it. And that’s clearly the reason that they’re not pursuing this. The problem is that the centre left has put all sorts of barriers around what it can talk about, what it may speak out about.”

Putting it mildly, this Liebour government really are an utter disgrace. Every single one of the cabinet are inept, totally out of their depth...

Never mind the vile Starmer saying “Adolescence” should be shown in schools I’d suggest the mesmerising speech yesterday by Tory MP Katie Lam should be shown to show kids how a proper MP supports and shouts out for child rape and abuse victims and doesn’t try to brush them under the carpet.
Sky journalist Trevor Phillips summing in up perfectly on Times radio as well, saying it appears to be taking a back seat as not to offend local councils and potential Labour voters. As Philips says, “shameful, utterly utterly shameful”.
This government are a disgrace.

So, has Labours generous offers to various Unions caused the filth on the streets of Birmingham by encouraging, unite to seek massive pay deals for its members

Are labour responsible for rats the size of cats roaming Britain streets?

Apparently this is a council matter and being as the city council is Labour controlled then they are of course complicit, but you make a fair point.

Not sure where this goes but as it’s being done by West Yorkshire Police who are overseen by the Labour Mayor of West Yorkshire, I suppose here is as good as anywhere.

It’s reported that WYP are blocking applications from white British candidates and opening up the recruitment application process early for ethnic minorities.

Apparently they are under-represented so the only logical option is to apply outright racial discrimination to level things up.

I suppose they’ve got to give the plethora of staff in equality and diversity that are costing the force over £1 million a year something to do.

That racist Trevor Phillips eh.

And Trevor Phillips is absolutely spot on. Racially and religiously motivated gang rape, prostitution and trafficking of whilte working class girls all under age is swept under the carpet. Deliberately and maliciously swept under the carpet.

We’ve already been told why, by a labour MP herself “these girls should keep their mouths shut for the good of diversity”

Jess Phillips in Jan 2024..
“Next time any government minister tells you that violence against women and girls is a priority for them. Don't believe them. It isn't they literally don't give a toss.”
How ironic eh?

The same Jess Phillips who is now a minister for the safeguarding and violence against women and girls, who, 50 mins before the Easter recess, stood up and virtually, once again, appeared to brush under the carpet, the need for justice for hundreds, if not thousands, of young British girls who were subject to the most horrific abuse you could imagine. The same Jess Philips who’s majority as a MP is less than 1000, seemingly trying to appease her electorate. There was a scum thread on here somewhere in the annals, maybe one ought to be started again for this cover up that shames Britains governments.

Throwing thousands of white working class girls onto the Bon fire to appease the electorate in her seat - and Jess Phillips is one of the better ones.
