What we need is a modern day, competent, Guy Fawkes so we can start with a clean slate.

What is it about politicians that make them such vile human beings? Honestly it's disgusting what the folks in that place get up to. Need far far higher standards.

The financial tsunami is about to hit small businesses and therefore working people, how much longer will the liars that are Starmer, Reeves and the whole of the government keep peddling the rubbish they try to force us to believe. Evil evil anti working people government.

Still no windfall on energy companies excess profits- that was supposedly gonna pay for lots of stuff.

So was ending Nom Dom status

This lot are literally no better than the 14 years previous incumbents.

I’d never have imagined I’d be saying that about the Labour Party.

From today £8 a day return through the Blackwall Tunnel, the first time in it's 128 year history a charge has been made. That's 160 quid a month<span style="font-size: 9pt;">&nbsp;on top of ULEZ and other charges. Some small self employed business's set to become unprofitable driving more working class people off the road and out of work in the name of Net Zero and filling Khan's coffers. Whose paying for it? Working people of course in whose pockets Labour's sticky fingers pilfer. The party of the working class? Yea right. Meanwhile,10 million people have arrived in Britain in the last twenty years thanks to Labour/Tory governments and 7.2 million of them have registered with a GP. Anyone else having difficulty getting a doctor's appointment? As for a dentist, don't even go there and avoid Norfolk and Suffolk, I had a filling come out and had to travel back to London, breaking my holiday to get it fixed. Ten million counting with nobody at the helm to say that's enough. By 2050 this country will be unrecognisible.&nbsp;</span><div><div><br></div><div>* 160 quid a month.</div></div>

I’d never have imagined I’d be saying that about the Labour Party.

And yet still they peddle their lies about cheaper energy bills, protecting our borders, putting more money in working people pockets, making our streets safer, mind you you’ve only got to look at the bare faced lies Khan tells about London being safer under his watch to realise that blatant lying is endemic through this Labour Party.
We all know governments bend the truth, twist the numbers to suit ,etc etc, but this level of utter and outright deceit is surely unprecedented in UK politics?

Dunno Johnson set a pretty high bar when it came to telling porkies.

Starmer and Khan are both lawyers - where your line of work means winning, not exposing the truth or delivering justice per se.

I wonder how many of the current MPs come from a legal background

Sorry mate but Starmer and the front bench are in a different League of lying compared to Boris. They just peddle complete falsehoods that the whole of the nation can see are nothing but blatant lies, it’s jaw dropping that a PM and his government can do this. It’s unfathomable.

I guess having such a large majority reduces accountability - for now at least. Might be different in 4 years time

Saw an interview with Dianne Abbott and she said he’d been parachuted into a safe seat after his time at the CPS and she said “he’s not learnt politics, he doesn’t have a feel for politics”

Maybe he’s still a lawyer

I’ve seen a few articles online that you have to take with a pinch of salt about how he’s found himself in top jobs in both legal and political circles without ever having either the ability or feel for either. A pawn in a bigger game? Tin foil hat maybe but he’s certainly appearing way way out of his depth in his current role. Maybe that’s the idea, create hatred and mayhem. Foster lies and deceit, war monger and betray his own people.

Have to agree. When you have posters who hated him so much they posted, 'Boris the Liar' almost daily, the gullible and susceptible eventually internalise the sentiment. Boris indeed did lie but he's way down the list when it comes to the wretched Starmer who got himself elected on an encycolpedia of lies and is still lying today. The biggest lie, is that they claim to be the party of the working class which is blatently untrue judging by their policies. Even now, I have cousins in Bolsover, who made it clear they hated the Tories but are now silent about the Labour MPs in the area, who have voted anti working class legislation.

“Boris the Liar” seems oh so lame with what we now have our Labour PM spewing down upon us on a regular basis…..”yes you heard me right, not a penny more on your council tax” is just one of his classics, and not just spouted once, there’s numerous video clips as evidence.

The damage Rachel from accounts, overseen by her treacherous leader, is doing to this country, it’s quite simply mind blowing.

Would a car with a foreign number plate be charged? If so how so?

I wrote to Toby Perkins about this "not a penny more on council tax". This was his response:

"The comment Keir Starmer made was in 2023 and was stating that Labour would have frozen council tax for the fiscal year ending at the start of April 2024 if they were in power – this wasn’t talking about 2025 and we are in a very different financial position, inheriting a massive blackhole in finances from the previous government".

Basically, they can say what they like to get into power, they certainly don't have to follow any promises through. Toby Perkins will defend them to the hilt, no matter what they do to his constituents.

At least you got a reply, but it’s that mythical black hole again isn’t it?
Starmer and the Labour government are serial liars to the British people. They’re a disgrace.

But you set the standard here, Mark.

The benchmark.

The line in the sand.

Johnson lied to a succession of wives and girlfriends and mistresses.

Which you said was okay.

He lied to his employer and party leader resulting in being sacked.

Which you said was okay.

He lied throughout the Brexit referendum.

Which you said was okay.

He lied throughout the twenty nineteen election campaign.

Which you said was okay.

He lied to his constituents about lying in front of diggers in terms of the Heathrow extension.

Ironically the only lying he didn't then do. But, of course, all okay by you.

He lied to the Queen, to the House and the British people. Over and over and over again.

To the point more than sixty of his own ministers resigned, his party demanded his resignation and Parliament expelled him in slumped shoulders disgrace.

Yet you still say that was all okay.

Then shall we discuss your championing of Trump? A man for whom the term pathological is utterly inadequate? Shall we list the lies told by your party leader Farage? His previous parties? Their members?

Once more all okay by you.

Starmer did lie. To become Labour leader and PM. As every politician has done throughout the centuries. Of all parties and persuasions.

From which I'm prepared to publicly distance myself as I did Corbyn.

However it just counters credibility to see contributors condemning one side with a political version of Tourettes whilst enthusiastically endorsing the other...

It seems so. There could be a bin by the toll booth where you just throw in the money but I imagine accounts will be able to be set up so the charge is taken automatically from a bank account.
