But you know that don’t you.

Your pushing an argument no one is having because you made a stupid comment

In your opinion it was stupid, I understand what he meant. But then I dont make my mind up on something and rigidly stick to a position on who / which party said it.

There is a trope about mobility scooters, it insinuates the prominence of them indicates the locals are lazy, fat and eat unhealthily.

Why anyone would suddenly bring that up while arguing about the whiteness of a provincial town is anyone's guess. I couldn't possibly comment

Witchfinder general appears, shouting witch at his first sniff of what he thinks might be racism, having been hanging around these threads like a fart trapped in a lift

You could at least wait for someone to to actually be racist

Like your response to the teddy bear called Mohammed and the the teacher being sentenced to lashes - which you agreed with because the the teacher lacked cultural sensitivity

How you can hate your own people and culture -! How do you do that? It’s an extreme. How did you get there. What went wrong in your life to put you in such a pit of hate and dispair?

What happened to defending the working class of this country? Why are you so far away from that? From the chartists movement that led to the worlds first trades unions? Why do you not want to protect the working class people of this country?

Why is that alien to you?

I think that says so much about you, and not much about me.

It's just a fact. Like there appear to be more new cars on bolsover than where I live.

Just an observation with no other thought.

There are clearly more people desperate to show their true colours over nothing ;)

I drove through a fairly iffy urban part of the UK the other day. It was late afternoon. I got stuck in traffic. There was a bloke, clearly not at his best, trying hard to lean his shoulder against a post on the pavement. He was the opposite side of the road thankfully. After half a dozen or so failed attempts to lean on the post the bloke changed tack. Instead of trying to lean against the post he started shadow boxing it. Then he hit the post, he then stopped and held his hand. Then he sat down on the pavement with some others who were of an ilk.

A true tale that somehow seems to sit well with the later part of this thread, if I can be so bold.

Just seemed a bit random in the middle of a conversation on the demographics of Chesterfield and its surrounds. Now if you had mentioned new cars……….some would think that was a positive

I can’t find the post but, as someone said, I felt it was a little “sneery” for a public platform. But if you’re saying it’s just an observation then I’ll go with that but I’m not surprised you’re being hit over the head with it. The forum seems to be more a place to point score these days. With that in mind some of the tit for tat arguing is increasingly dull but it’s easy to get sucked in as you (and me!) have on occasion. 😂

Are you saying posters are delusional, hallucinating or on drugs? 😉. Maybe all three. 😂

I blame the government for not providing adequate in house care and allowing people to roam the streets without proper medication

There are lots of positives - when someone asks me where home is I always say Derbyshire, I just sleep and work in the south east. But there are some clear differences that I probably wouldnt have noticed if I didnt flit between the two so much. Some are just that, differences, neither positive nor negative but just the reality.

New cars are definitely less down here unless salary sacrifice EVs, my guess is as people dont commute by car so much, plus house prices, etc etc. I do yet again live the wrong side of the M1 though - think I must be more comfortable in the more working class areas ;)

It's funny when people ask where I live I always say Chesterfield not Derbyshire , though born just north of York .

Alot of people down here struggle with where Derbyshire is let alone Chesterfield!

My dad always said he was from Yorkshire even though he was born in Holloway (village in Derbyshire not prison) as he was brought up in Cudworth from 6 months to 15 years...

Just seen this post on X from liar Starmer promoting voting Labour on May 1st..it defies reason, it mentions…

Securing our borders
Putting more cash in your pocket
Cheaper energy in your home

They just can’t stop lying, it’s remarkable that a government and PM carry on this way.
