Does Palmer look much leaner and more agile than he did before?

Looks like he's lost a bit of weight and not just off his head.

Oldaker plays that way throughout the game, not just to count the clock down when we're winning, he does the same thing when we're losing with ten minutes to go.

Watch Oldaker's movement before Grimes' suicide pass.
He's in the middle facing the opposition with enough time to move it forward. Unfortunately, like most times, he stops, turns plays it back - this time to JG with a Carlisle striker lurking.
Why Grimes tried to play it back to Oldaker (maybe he called for it?) is anyone's guess especially when Gordon was free to his left.

After a good nights sleep and considered thought, regarding the comments last night that PC had given instructions to the subs, I would not expect a 10 year old to send four fresh legged subs on,against a 10 man team that had been battered for the previous 20 minutes and were absolutely reeling, telling them to keep possession across the edge of our box,a ploy we are far from good at.We should have been at them, full attack mode.Attack is THE best form of defence.IF our management team did issue those instructions then IMO that was a very bad decision, and if it had been made 10 minutes early could have cost us two, even three, points. As I said last night, it took the edge off a good team performance and if not for Breeze who knows what the score could have been, especially with the added penalties once again seemingly not noticed by the officials.

Anyone heard Leam Richardson was at the game last night? Supporting a friend - or something more?

He'd be better in a four man midfield. He's certainly too lethargic to play in deep just in front of the two centre backs. Mike Jones moved the ball faster and safer too.

A question posed over celebratory pints last night. Have we named 3 full internationals, in a match squad before?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Technically yes, Luis Boa Morte (Portugal), Tendayi Darikwa (Zimbabwe) and Nathan Smith (Jamaica) all played in the 2012 season together several times although Darikwa and Boa Morte's international appearances weren't when they we playing for us. And in that season we named 4 if we also include Liam Cooper (Scotland) and had Jay O'Shea even had been called up to the Irish Squad we'd have had 5 but he only got to u23 status.

None of the ones you mention with the exception of Nathan Smith and Boa Morte were full internationals whilst on towns books.

George Ashmore (England,) Billy Austin (England) and John Crosbie (Scotland) had all made international appearances by the time they played for us on the opening day of the 1932-3 season. All 3 on the pitch at the same time, too.

Oldaker gave it to Palmer who gave it JG to be fair.

Declan John, Rai Simons and Chris Herd selected on matchday squad v Crewe Feb 2016.

Mark Crossley, Kevin Austin and Rob Page a couple of times in 2009-10. all on pitch at same time v Torquay and Lincoln.
