There’s no a cat hells chance that those figures will be made public for the next 30 years

Any instance of illness or death which could've been even remotely blamed on pensioners having the WFP removed would've been all over the media, particularly Tory client media. There isn't some uber-powerful Government cabal which is stopping this; a reporter would be alerted, they would speak to the individual who suffered or their family if they died, and they would release the story.

Let's have it rate; you put your full weight behind these supposedly poor pensioners who would all be dying as a result of Labour, and nobody died. As a result of your 3,621 posts on the matter dramatically reminding us all on a daily basis about how Starmer was the pensioner grim reaper, you're now forced to pivot into conspiracy theorist mode when confronted by the reality of what happened (classic right wing tactic). Basically, you were a massive drama queen and it was the correct decision by Labour to remove the WFP.

It was an act of malice and hate that won’t be forgotten by millions of decent voters.
Pensioners having to stay in bed all day, wrap themselves in quilts and blankets to keep warm, cut back on food and just hope they survive.
You might forgive this heap of traitors. I won’t.

Nothing to forgive on this one! Well done Labour for making a tough decision and not bowing to huge pressure. They’ve got a fair few things wrong so far (looking at you, Reeves), this hasn’t proven to be one of them.

Look I know you don't like old people because they dare pick up a pension that you have pay for but you're being a bit naughty here. Every year around 9000 old people die from hypothermia. To say no one has died is a complete fabrication. The question is has anyone died due to the WFA being withdrawn? Well, the figures haven't come out yet but it is expected to be around 4000 so don't jump the gun, lets wait and see.

You're the one who demands facts but dismisses them when it doesn't suit your ageist views.

Then again, I guess its just satire.

I love that old people get a state pension as they should (not that I likely will), it just shouldn't be triple locked.

The 9,000 figure isn't strictly true:

Quote

In the UK, an estimated 300 deaths per year are attributed to hypothermia. However, some sources suggest that the number of excess winter deaths, which can be linked to cold homes and hypothermia, can be much higher, potentially reaching 9,000 annually.

No need to wait for the figures - if there was a death that could even vaguely linked to the removal of WFP it would be everywhere - think of how much Starmer & co would be hammered over such a thing. We're now in April - it ain't happening. No satire here, completely the right decision by Labour despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And here's me thinking you were all about facts nowadays. If I were to point you to a story in the Sun or Facebook et al. that stated and old lady had died from Hypothermia because she had the WFA taken off her you would dismiss it in a heartbeat.

 I absolutely would not dismiss it. When that happens, link me to the story and I'll admit it impacted the old girl.

You and others just need to deal with the fact that it was a storm in a teacup tbh. Mr Mercury tripled his post count writing about how 98.3% of pensioners would freeze solid and they're all just swanning about right as rain. Azul just stuck his thermal socks on and he's sound.

Excited for this massive thing that's gonna bring Starmer down too, sounded really bad the way Merc, Misnomer et al were banging on about it. Coming any day now I suspect!

This article from Jan 24 would suggest that data doesn't come out very quickly to enable the reporting that Goku says would be everywhere...

Mercury previously indicated Sir Kier was having an affair with an Asian man and it would soon come out (it hasn’t so far…..)

Mr Mercury is right. You clearly have no idea how aging affects old people. Poor circulation means feeling the cold even if wearing gloves, scarfs and being wrapped up. Low body temperature means suffering and is especially deadly for old people. You come across a ignorant, cold and callous, obviously pleased that the Labour Party has made old people suffer. Don't be a plonker all your life.

Labour and the neediest getting the required support really isn’t a Labour thing at all. You’ve only got to look at last weeks benefit cuts that could cost some disabled people thousands of pounds a year. They’re nothing but a heartless evil bunch of anti British traitors.

If I was a prime whatabouterist like you I would be taking this opportunity to point out how you never said a word about Tory cuts to a much broader spectrum of people, public spending etc.

but I'm not, so I absolutely will not mention that ;) yes I didn't like that at all. I'd get rid of Reeves asap, she's sh**e

Time to get back in your ageist hole. You really are a nasty callous individual. Just hope one day you'll feel the pain of being cold.
