Yeah thinking for next season, I think Ainsworth is a good manager and with some financial backing they could well be a contender next year

Ainsworth was a good fit at wycombe due to his playing time there, he's not proved to be a good manager in any other position he's had since... they would have to practically buy the league.

Proper unimaginative merry-go-round appointment, that one. Can't see Appleton making them a force in our league next year.
These go to eleven.

Shrewsbury fans seem very unhappy with the current owner(s) with some less that happy responses to his open letter about Ainsworth wanting out. Cant see this appointment appeasing them!

Mansfield may well be looking at a replacement after May, maybe a return?

Surprised Evans has lasted this long. Along with Luton, Rotherham are the most disappointingly performing club this season considering they were favourites to make the playoffs.

Player Power!!

When someone like him open criticises and tries to embarrass players for gaining a pound in front of the rest of the squad, it was only going to end one way.

Monday morning weigh-ins and the 'punishment' dependant on that weekends results (and when they'd won it was his doing and when they lost it was all the players fault too) when you look like he does, doesn't foster trust and commitment between a squad and the manager.

I'm fully expecting the 'new manager' bounce here.

A Rotherham season ticket holder I know, was very optimistic when Evans was appointed, but I told him that I didn't think he'd do anything for them, for which I'm glad I was proven right for a change. I told him they'd be better employing Ronnie Moore's goldfish than Evans.

Don't remind us Dave, Jenson would have been fine wearing a pair of jackboots, and I bet most coppers of the time would echo those sentiments too.

A planned takeover has just fallen through.

Questions over the 'fit and proper' test, apparently.

So an outfit owned by someone wanting out, fans wanting him out, and only dubious characters (it would appear) wanting in.

Sounds ominously familiar...
