Off topic but when I think of Barrow I remember their fa cup replay held at Saltergate against Alfreton.
That was the fourth attempt to find a winner.
Not a great game.

I was at this game 2-2 if I remember correctly
As a very young boy a lot of Barrow players names stuck with me
Fast forward about 17 years I worked for a transport company ( no longer ) on Sheepbridge
One day some bloke from Sheffield called David Storf came to collect a couple of parcels . As he signed the delivery note I asked him if he had ever played for Barrow ….
He looked at me with the look of “ have you ever considered getting a life “ but admitted that he was an ex Barrow player and I recalled the above game
Boring , I know , but true

It was 2-0 to Barrow. Three draws before.

Sorry, don't agree. It was the 2nd replay. After the 1st replay there was a coin toss for proximity of 2nd replay. Alfreton winning and choosing Saltergate. My bit of paper tells me it was 1-1 at full time 2-2 AET. The attendance being 7,369. The 3rd replay was at Deepdale, with Barrow winning 2-0

The replay at Saltergate followed towns usual Ist round exit at the Trannies 5 days earlier.

Edit, thinking back, possibly the 1st replay taking place at Barrow on Monday or Tuesday and then at town on Thursday, all a bit rushed.

I stand corrected. I had it in my brain that the game at Saltergate was the decider. Apparently it was at Preston.

I was at the Saltergate game but recall little of it other than us being stood on the kop, which was quite full.
Research shows the scorers for Alfreton were Ken Ford and Alan Woodward (not that one).

It makes you wonder if town have hosted other games as a neutral venue for football league or FA cup level*.

* Wording it like this eliminates FA representative games (England U??? etc) and any none league none entities like oldham
