Good luck to him. My take is we need someone more progressive with the ball in that position so it he leaves, I won't be upset.

Agreed.

Certainly less profligate than previous seasons but still ponderous in possession.

Striking to see how much more progressive Metcalf and even Fleck have proven in the same role...

Oldaker is a good player but doesn't play enough forward balls for my liking. Our play would be so much better if we could get more minutes out of Fleck, the ball he played in behind the right back for coco yesterday was the type of forward ball we need.

I would like to see Fleck given a start in place of Metcalfe or Banks, who could be on the bench to replace him if he pulls up injured. We gave 5 subs so it wouldn't be too much of a gamble. Fleck is class and has the old head to read a game.

Seems a bit much, burying Oldaker (crucial part of our progress since he arrived), and praising Fleck (shown zero sign he can play more than twenty minutes, about as mobile as a wheelie bin).

That pass was absolute top class - direction and weight were perfect. If Fleck can get on the pitch for, at least, part of every game for the rest of the season, it will be a big boost for us. We've got other players to do the running around, if we give him the ball he doesn't need to run for it.

Oldakers I have heard (may age like milk) has been offered a deal but won’t sign it because he’s been promised a move to a l1 team in the summer. Also he is best mates with a lad in grassmoor (who he knows through Lauren Goodyear from TOWIE) so has been having Sunday sessions in the boot and shoe hence why his early season forms dropped off.

You’d be amazed at the level of team who’ve turned his head from the contract we’ve offered.

When was DJ offered a new deal?

I'm sure PC said at the fans' forum on 07/03/25, that at that point none of the out of contract players had been offered new deals.

That's one of the best on here for a while. I like it.

I heard he'd been caught up in a love triangle with the leader of the Poolsbrook chapter of Satan's Slaves MC gang after a dalliance with a barmaid at the Steelmelters on St John's Road turned nasty and he's scared to be on the pitch.

I don't know which I'd be more worried about, the bloke on the bike or the girl pulling the pints 🤔.

So he’s been tapped up then, breaking league rules?

Also, how does a Sunday session affect his performance the following Saturday?

With him being out of contact wouldn't he be allowed to discuss potential deals from earlier this year?

That’s an absolutely outrageous comment.

No way would I drink Madri.

He’s been drinking colts foot tincture, and developed a bit of a taste for……and cooks not happy with amounts he’s drinking

On top of that he’s been seen out late on the town with the infamous stilt dancers sipping bottles of agars shandy on the park opposite shuttlewood primary school

It’s slippery slope DJ is on at the minute
