You’re right, just checked. I’m guessing the miserable sub-3000 attendance for the midweek game in 2020 was the one and recorded league crowd at that level since we moved.

Even if that means choosing to kick towards the kop for the first half if we win the toss. Usually when we end up doing that (assuming because the opposition wins the toss) it hacks me off massively as a kop season ticket holder. But needs must.

Agree but a draw will be ok as long as we do the business.

As I have posted many times over the seasons, and nothing yet this season has changed my thoughts, I would have preferred our run in to be against teams in the top half of the table as we always give a better showing.CFC chasing points and playing struggling teams has never been a good combination, ask me why and I have no answer, sure someone will.

I think one answer was illustrated v Harrogate. They are so desperate for points that even one point gained is seen as a victory. Harrogate absolutely battled till the end, let us have 70% possession, and just made themselves extremely difficult to break down. We have to up our game when we play these lowly placed teams, and in particular, be extremely clinical when a chance arrives. We were very close to doing that towards the end of the game, but they actually achieved their aim, and were absolutely delighted to get the point.

Yep we don't want either to win especially Grimsby who would then be 10 points clear of us in the last play off spot. Ok we'd have 2 games in hand but it's a huge gap

Grimsby tend to win their games by the odd goal but when they lose, they lose heavily by 3 or 4
Conversely when we win it's by 3+ and tend to lose by the odd goal
Tottenham sit 2nd with 7 games won by 3+ and sit in the bottom half of the Premier League

The current top 11 teams and games remaining. Looking specifically at the games to be played involving two teams from the current top 11 before the end of this season.
Walsall play 3 games. 1 at home; 2 away.
Bradford play 5 games. 2 at home; 3 away.
Wimbledon play 4 games. 2 at home; 2 away.
Donny play 6 games. 4 at home; 2 away. Donny play the top 3 at home.
NC play 4 games. 2 at home; 2 away.
PV play 4 games. 2 at home; 2 away.
Colchester play 4 games. 2 at home; 2 away.
Crewe play 4 games. 2 at home; 2 away.
Grimsby play 3 games. 1 at home; 2 away.
Salford play 3 games. 2 at home; 1 away.
Town play 2 games. 1 at home; 1 away.
Which means?
Probably not much... or possibly...
1) That there a lot of points that have to be dropped by the top 11 sides who will play at least 4 others in the top 11. This is probably the most important thing for Town.
2) Bradford, Donny, NC,PV , Colchester and Crewe have 4 or more games against top 11 sides and will have a big say on the promotion places. A lot seems to be 'in their hands' as they can take points of contenders.
3) We only play two games v the current top 11. That could be the easier run in. Conversely we are obviously less able to take points off the current top 12 sides.
4) At a stretch, it might be argued that the top 11 have played weaker sides so far whereas Bromley and ourselves have played stronger sides so far.
and so on
